Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Pemsl should be a center and was playing SF. And Bohannon’s minutes per game rose dramatically over the course of the season, especially over the last 15 games or so, where he played 40 or more minutes four times. I would be surprised if that happened again next season.

So because Pemsl played 16 mpg that's why your defense was so bad?

And lol the last 15 games or so, Iowa's defense was atrocious all season long

Nunge also played SF and should be a center (and probably should have redshirted last year). Baer also played SF and should be a four.

So because your SF/PF/C position was a mess that's why your defense was so bad all year or was it because Bohannon had to play 31 mpg? Lol you keep muddying the waters I'm all confused

They both were contributing factors. I have said that all along. It’s not that difficult, not sure why you’re getting so confused.

It'll be better next year though because they're losing their best player and are going to try working on defense again this summer

If they lose Cook they will be one of the worst teams in the Big Ten again, no question.

He chose Iowa. So he was terrible according to most ISU fans because of this very thing. If he went to UNC and did OK, you would not be saying the same thing as you are right now. and that is a fact.
Difference between UNC and ToE is competent coaching.
ISU also finished at the bottom of the Big 12......
Being in the bottom of a good league is still slightly better than being near the bottom of a bad league.

Not when you recruit the caliber of athletes to ISU that Iowa does not, this is according to every ISU poster on here. ISU recruits better than Iowa at basketball. But comparable finishes are ignored for some reason.

So you are saying we are both using an opinion to describe how Woodbury turned out and not a fact.... interesting

I'm really curious how you are going to spin that Cartwright and Pemsl both got better at Iowa when both by regular and advanced stats actually got significantly worse

You'll notice that you won't see me doing a lot of that, because I view recruiting as basically a numbers game. High recruits are worthless without good coaching.

ISU takes the same level of kids and achieves more with them. So, I guess I owe you a 'congrats' for recruiting good kids then horribly underachieving with them? One of the big issues I do side with regarding the recruiting, itself, is that all recruits have flaws. You can try to judge similar recruits by the severity of their flaws; Fran does a terrible job of fixing and/or hiding his players' flaws.
