I'm confused with what you're trying to say. THT is the better recruit, that's really all I got out of your post

I have a hard time understanding the composite if what you say is true that it is just ESPN, Rivals and 247.

THT's ranking when adding those 3 services up is 153 which would give you a composite of 51 since they are all weighted equally.

Wieskamp's total is 164 which gives you an average of just over 54.

You can't just take the average and say that's where they're ranked. You put the averages in order to from lowest to highest. You might have 3 guys ranked 50.2, 50.3 and 50.4. They can't all be 50.

There could be three different players with average ranking of 50 and none with average ranking of 49 and 51. Does that mean the composite ranking would have three sitting at 50 and none at either slot on either side of 50? No. They would get an average ranking of all of the top players and then rank them based on the average ranking so whoever had the smallest (number) ranking becomes number 1 even though his actual average might be 1.67(1,2,2). The next guy might have a composite of 2(2,1,3) and his ranking is 2. The next guy might have a composite of 2.33 (3,3,1) so he will be ranked 3.

It is a ranking of the averages not just an average number.

THT is higher ranked but the composite ranks dont match when you take the rankings from each individual site and average them. Are you sure ESPN is included in these? I couldnt find anything on 247 that lists the services they use for the composite.

Just take a step back to think how good THT is going to be. The biggest homer Hawkeye fan on this website thinks he's better than a recruit labeled as the savior for Iowa basketball. Going to be a fun season boys!

Ive never called Wieskamp the savior of Iowa basketball so this post doesnt make any sense.

Yeahbuddy is just concerned because they didn't round up for THT and down for Weiskamp, which would have closed the "sliver" between them.

That sliver only exists in his mind until next year when THT takes Joel's lunch and likely dunks on him, Fizer over Mihm style, for good measure.

He didn't say YOU labeled him that. Get over yourself. A hell of a lot of hawk fans are banking on him being as good as advertised though. Hopefully the Big Ten is just as good as the competition Joel went up against all season this year.
