Also, what's with the winter storm warning at home right now, seriously wtf. We have plants arriving next week and I'm afraid the frost won't be out yet!
Anyway, off to hike. Hope the sun peeks through at the waterfall - think we're doing that one. @cyrocksmypants, have you seen the news about Kauai lately? We won't even get to see the north trails/Hanalei area because they got 28 inches of rain on Friday when we got in. Crazy bad flooding up there.

I did have a dream about a specific girl name last night, I'll go see if DH shoots this down too.
It's coming down fairly heavy now, but it'll be in the 40's tomorrow and the 60's by next week, so hopefully that helps warm everything up.
We only found out with our fourth, although I think by that time we pretty much knew what our chances of having another girls were. Girls names were always easy for us, still not sure what we would have named a boy. Each girl but one has some grandmother/great grand mother they are named after. The 6th grader had to do a cultural legacy project the past few weeks. They started with a four generation family tree and then had to pick something to study further. She chose hubby's paternal grandfather. I knew him as Ira (he passed the year after we were married) but we found out his given name was Irenis. No boys to pass that one onto . . .
My GG grandparents who immigrated were Geike and Taatje. Yeah, I didn’t even go there. Oldest has a form of my G grandpa for first (wife didn’t know this when she suggested it as an option) and my dads for middle.
Wow, just realized it will be 20 years tomorrow when my father passed. Time goes fast. Why oldest has his middle name.
I have three boys so far, so boy names have come a lot easier.
Problem with my wife is, she is a teacher, so almost every name has some connection to a student she's had or known of, which adds a layer of negative connotation.
I also have a last name, Hopp, which adds some intrigue to name choosing.
Can't go with Isabell, or Peter, or any first name starting with I for reasons I'll see if you can sort out.
I did say if we ever have a girl that we should nickname her Bunny, but not as a real first name. That would be cruel.
Any semintals or herfords we had were named Ruth. Now that semintals have moved been angus crossed are black, Ruth wouldn’t work as well.
My eldest boy has my middle name, middle boy's middle name is a form of his maternal grandfathers name, Ward for Howard. And the little guy has his maternal grandfathers middle name.
First names are all unique to my family as far as I know. And I was lucky enough to have a lot of say in picking them. I don't know if I will have as much pull if we ever pick a girls name.
It sounds odd, but my wife actually had a woman who powderized her placenta and put it into pills. They are supposed to be beneficial to you while nursing and for recovering after childbirth.

we've had a boy's name picked literally since we went to prom together. Sort of weird in that context because we'd only been dating three months but we were talking about how we got our names and realized we had the same first and middle initial. DH talked about how he'd like to name a son "certain name" and though I didn't like it at first, it's really grown on me. I'll like a girl's name for a while and then it'll fade in my mind. And that's what's happening with my current favorite name.
Though DH did like this new suggestion so we'll see.
