Iowa Football Recruiting

It's not that I'm upset that we didn't land him (we have quite a few QB's) but I don't get the TCU commitment. I have nothing against them but I was surprised at that choice.

Article I read from the CB newspaper made it seem like the smaller school played an aspect in it. Preferred a smaller school (10,000 enrollment) to much larger schools (OSU, Minny, Nebby) all over 50,000.

Definitely interesting to think about. A couple pretty bad evaluations by KF on some OL and not sticking by a kid who is really talented in his own backyard

How did he not stick by Vance when KF never offered him?

Little early in the week to go full fledged troll, isnt it?

Wanted to go to a conference that was exciting football. He could have came to us and been in a huge competition with other qbs. Gone to Iowa and handed the ball off and thrown to weak receivers. Gone to minny, that place is a mess need I say more. Gone to kNebraska and Frost could have rug swept and gf issues, but maybe that isn’t him. All but the first one there was playing boring, plodding football. Or TCU, (Patterson’s in laws are Iowans so maybe there are connections somehow, we generally know a lot of each other) and try to start and play some exciting games.

Wow!!!! Nebraska must have have a student explosion in the big ten. They were smaller than us in the big XII and we have have decent growth but are 13k from 50k students.

He almost undoubtedly will be behind Shawn Robinson & or Justin Rogers for 3, maybe 4 years.

Just goes to show that competition wasn't his main concern.

In state players who will probably play a big role for ISU this year and if Iowa offered or not

JGJ - No
Meeker - No
Newell - Yes
Vance - No
Knipfel - No

Other Iowans that will play snaps IMO that didn't have Iowa offers: Lensing, Akers, Hummel and Benton (former walk on, not sure if he's on scholarship or not)

So 1 guy? I dont know what this has to do with anything really.

What were their Rivals ranks compared to Iowa guys that they recruited?

I honestly have no clue what you're talking about

You are now comparing Kirk "missed" evaluations to make an argument. Whereas previously you would compare Rivals/ 247 rankings to compare arguments. Well most of those guys were not ranked as high as the ones that went to Iowa so the evaluation of those players was right on par with the national rankings and your trusted websites that you constantly use to make your point/ varify information.

So what is your angle here? do you use Rivals/ 247 for evaluations or do you trust Kirk to be a better evaluator than those services? I am curious to how you answer this one.

Well Vance was ranked higher than 4 Iowa commits, JGJ was ranked higher than 6 Iowa commits and Meeker was ranked higher than 5
