My Pledge—No More Trolling

Yards don't matter? So Eaton and Easley are equals in your mind since they both had the same amount of TD's?

ISU's offense wasn't very good last year. If we didn't have Montgomery our run game would have been non existent. Our defense was really good last year though

Notice what I did here @YeahBuddy that you can't do? ISU's offense was better than Iowa's last year and I said it wasn't very good. You still are happy with Brian last year and thought Iowa's offense was fine

Absolutely and for the reasons I gave in an earlier post.

1st year OC
1st year starting QB
Lack of weapons at WR
Banged up OL

Its not hard.

Stanley played meaningful snaps before last year and I said you guys lacked depth on the OL and your rebuttal was an HM All Conference OL in the Big 12 wouldn't have sniffed the field

I really only care if my offense scores points. You dont win any games by having the most yards.

66th in Scoring Offense.

Your statement has merit, but it's simplistic.

Yards do, in fact, matter. If your offense gets three first downs, gains 38 yards, then has to punt, there's value in that. No points were scored, but it's 38 more yards the opposing offense has to drive.

The discrepancy between an offense's scoring rank and yardage rank is often due to an opportunistic defense giving the offense a short field.

I said he was a first time starter which isnt wrong.

JGJ wouldnt have sniffed the field at OT last season which is where Iowa was banged up. Jackson and Wirfs are better than him at OT.

JGJ has played OT and played it well. If that's the case you have no excuse for Brian's offense being so poor

He started 11 games at RT his RSFr year.

So quite a bit actually.

He probably would have been ISU's best or 2nd best tackle in 2017, but (obviously) he was their best option at C.

@YeahBuddy so yeah, if he wouldn't have sniffed the field at Iowa last year how could you possibly make excuses for Brian's dismal offensive performance?

Yeah I think what is a better judge is yards per play and scoring efficiency. With the way Iowa plays, being in the top 50 in yards per game would probably indicate they have a pretty good offense. Lately, the offense has been atrocious.

Dismal? Iowa was middle of the pack in PPG for FBS schools with a 1st year OC, 1st year starter at QB and hardly any options at WR while playing a Top 5 schedule.

Thats not dismal, you are trolling.

So yards don't matter and Eaton = Easley? I see you dropped your OL depth excuse already too lol

Again, all I care about is my OC getting Iowa points. Dont really care how he gets them.

OL injuries were a factor last season but you arent going to stop your belly aching about JGJ so I just left it out.

How many points did the defense score? I am sorry but the offense was pretty bad last year. Were there reasons for that? Yes like you said offensive line injuries and lack of WRs and a new OC but still a pretty bad offense.
