Before going to bed monsters check their closet for Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris checks his for AJ Epenesa.
AJ sucks against the run doesn't he? Thought that's why he was a backup. He's got a high ceiling at the next level as a pass rusher but Lima will better this year for sure
It's all relative. If you compare his skills against the rush to those of his against the pass, it's not close. But his skills against the pass are like the Incredible Hulk meets the Flash. So while his skills against the rush don't compare to that, they're still way better than those of human D-linemen.
Bailey and Lima are better than any two DL you have. Those two win in the dark
AJ Epenesa once had a near Lima moment.

It'd be a lot more fun if AJ wasn't a backup for a Big Ten West team
I'm sure the kid that is better than AJ at his position is really decent though
No he came in on third downs last year IIRC and hes not a starter this year. I don't know if it's a talent or work ethic issue because Iowa's DL isn't going to very strong this year and they have no depth at all

Hesse listed as starter. Kind of a big point of contention. KF recognizes leadership of upperclassmen. Hesse is a solid player but AJE will be a first round draft pick, he's a good kid though and understands that even though he's not listed as starter he'll be in there most of the time. Kid is a beast
I know there's a lot of trolling going on so I'll probably regret this, but I got curious about the PFF rankings between Lima and Epinesa.
Looks like Epinesa had a score of 77.1 and Lima had a score of 77.3.
Obviously both very good players that do very different things.

I don't think Iowa will have a strong or deep DL this year, at least compared to us anyways
