Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Well Schwartz is the biggest moron that writes for HN. That is incredible feat considering both Howe and Miller are still there.

Schwartz and Miller were 1 and 2 on the bandwagon to fire KF after the 2014 season.

I can remember listening to a podcast where Miller was going off on firing KF. Then later he was arguing how KF should be coach of the year. Quite the rollercoaster.

I don't see Cook leaving. He doesn't show up anywhere on the 2018 or 2019 mock NBA drafts. Whatever other opportunities he's considering would still be there in a year or two. He should either stay or transfer to a school that he thinks could better develop him.

You just knew this kind of garbage would be out in some way shape or form.

Just skimmed but doing things like comparing an Iowa player converting to football to Tony Gonzalez and Julius Peppers is why Hawkeye fans look as dumb as they do. Just seeping with Hawkdom.

"Tony Gonzalez, the likely pro-football Hall of Famer at tight end, famously played three seasons of basketball at Cal. He missed having Jason Kidd as a teammate by one season. And Julius Peppers, fourth all-time in sacks in the NFL, pulled football-basketball double duty at North Carolina".

The worst part is I actually know people that are Hawk fans that have this mindset.

Is this real life?

Dear God fickle much?

KF is a good coach. I'll admit it. He's been a stable for 20 years. I can understand criticism that he can be bland/predictable, but more often than not he wins. It's just funny some people can go so high or so low on him in a short amount of time.

The greatest part about it is nobody is forcing you to read any of it.

Did anyone see Scott Saville during tonight's KCRG news, for his "On Iowa Live" show, hype up that Michigan is in the Sweet Sixteen and Iowa is not that far behind, citing they played Michigan close? The Iowa interviewee agreed that Iowa had the talent not far behind Michigan and can compete with anyone.

Wow.
those dorks claimed the show was going to feature all 3 state schools. Eventually it was 90% Hawk-talk and 10% UNI/ISU. Recent years nearly 100% Hawk-related garbage

The people in the know expect him to sign with an agent because he doesn't like Fran just an FYI

I'm not going to dispute what you'e saying because my guess is you're more dialed in to than I am. However, I hope a kid doesn't try to make professional ranks just because he doesn't like his coach. You'd think he's just transfer if that was the case.

Why waste a sit out year on a transfer?

The G-League is becoming a more viable option. Just look at what Naz has been able to do this year.
If Cook thinks/is being told he is only a year away, he might be better served to find a spot in the G-League and try to make a roster in a year.

Are G-League salaries rising? Last I had heard some of the players were making maybe 30k a season.

I have never heard that. The main reason for him to not come back that I have read is because he hates school and may rather get paid in the D League or Europe rather than go to class.

Remember when you mocked me when I said his brother said he was going pro after his sophomore year?

Little birdie told me Cook is not coming back. I guess having a spaz as a coach is starting to pay off. This is a train wreck that im enjoying to watch.
