Heck you have fans talking about being a sweet 16 team next year after going 13-18. You even had a thread started by a moderator back in December discussing the "realistic" tournament chances of this years team.
I wouldn't use the term "reckless " to describe overly optimistic projections.

It's one thing to miss the Big Dance, but it's an entirely horribly season when your P5 team can't even make the NIT.
Considering all of their players will be leaving and the allegations there, not all that surprising. haha.

This article makes excellent points- honestly, if your team is consistently getting to the NCAA tournament, that is success. From there, the tournament is a crap shoot of match ups, luck and yes, a significant dose of talent/coaching (but the latter is less of a factor than most fans think).

Your news is more recent. I heard from the father of a player that they expected him back. He finally got that apartment that he'd been putting off. My info. is a couple weeks old so who knows. If I wanted to bug the guy I could probably get the latest, assuming he knows.
It’s probably going to be a lot of back and forth “he’s gone/he’s staying” until an actual decision is made but 100k advance from an agent can make anyone think twice...or ten.
