The Archer Placebo Effect episode has to be one of his best rampages. Chemo fueled rampage.

Crap, I just realized I commented in the Politics section. That'll teach me to actually read the article someone posts, probably even reading the OP before making a smark alec remark would have been beneficial. Should just opt out so I don't do it again, but too lazy right now to do it.

Woke up to about 1" of snow on the ground. Start reading some FB posts and see there was a narrow band of 6-8" of snow that fell just south of Ames and north of Ankeny. That is going to be a nice surprise to all the spring breakers making their way home in that area.

Is spring break just starting? I know several kids from other schools are home this week, think my wife's relative who goes to the craphole was off this week also.

School starts back on Monday, including ISU. Our school thinks it is a great idea to conferences right before spring break so my kids had a 1/2 day last Thursday, Friday off, then home the entire week. Great for people traveling, to so fun for those of us stuck at home with 4 kids and a hubby who works at home.

The glacier in my alley is not receding, it's actually growing with the day thaw and night freeze. It backing snow melt into a small lake at the end of my driveway. Might have to start parking on the street in front because the ruts in the ice are so deep I fear it might rip the front spoiler off Das Audi. Trying to straddle the ruts but have bottomed out a couple times. Would need a permit from the city ...street parking is banned in the hood for winter.

We have the same thing next week. Friday off and then the whole next week. Superintendent doesn't like 10 days off from school so this is the last long one. Was almost on the school board and am glad I'm not now. I believe in being proactive and not reactive, which is what everyone on the board is.

Would it work to put ice melt on it?

I got some friends together to do a escape room last night. Show up and they don't have our reservation. Figure out I reserved for next Friday but the room was open so we did it anyway. It was very tough and at the end while they were explaining everything we have left to do we find out it is an expert level room. ooppss.

I opted out. Too many threads recently.

I was using my mini flame thrower this week to thaw stuff out. Could be persuaded to wander up there if you want to switch places with me and haul grain for a day. Also would require coconut cream pie and guinness.

I could drive truck by channelling my long dormant 12-ton gas truck skills of 45 years ago but cannot help if you are talking about anything trailerish.

Thought about trying some to melt a channel but the glacier is like over 200 feet long and thicker than a brick for much of the length and maybe 6" in parts. Some of this goes back to the water main break earlier this winter.

What should I put for an end date and reason for leaving for my current job on a job application? My resume would obviously show that I'm presently working, but those are required fields. Should I use my available to start date and put "presently employed"?

Returned from vacation last night. I can see why so many Minnesotans end up in Fort Myers. It's big enough that there's plenty to do but small enough that it's easy to get around (except on Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel). Also, Kennedy Space Center is way better than I remember it (there was a big piece of the space shuttle Challenger that you couldn't not cry at), and Universal Orlando was great with The Mummy and Minion's Mayhem sticking out as particularly enjoyable rides. Spirit Airlines came through with no problems whatsoever, either way.

You may be the first person to ever mutter those words...

When PapaLew & I were there in 2012 (I think?) we took the extended bus tour all around the site. The site that got me was pad 34 (Apollo 1 launch pad). That happened about five months after we moved down there.

Fun thing on that tour - they have several small buildings scattered on the far reaches of the Center that house different artifacts from the generations of the space program. Each one is manned by a docent (mostly retired NASA employees). We were chatting with one and through the conversation found out that he worked with my father way back when. I don't remember his name now, but when I told Daddy about it, he had all kinds of stories about the guy. :)

And I had forgotten how many armadillos infest that area!
