Has anyone seen him play? Is he the best Iowa high school player ever like some Iowa fans claim?
I think Adam Haluska and obviously Harrison Barnes were much better. Even Sean Haluska was putting up 30 ppg against 3A competition. I think Iowa fans need to stop hyping Weiskamp.

I watched a four minute clip from their game against Bettendorf. I must have caught the worst four minutes in high school basketball history. Muscatine held the ball for at least three minutes before Wieskamp put up a contested 17 footer that didn't go.

Iowa high school basketball desperately needs a shot clock.

He's a good player. He has nothing around him it seems. He will help them, but I don't see him being more than a Matt Thomas type. He doesn't have the quickness to make a huge impact as a freshman.

The biggest thing is Iowa isn't just losing. They're routinely getting their ass kicked. I've said it a million times, but your program is **** if you're giving Nicholas Baer a scholarship.

I watched a lot of the MSU/Purdue game at the gym. Good teams to be sure, but they aren't sitting at just 1 or 2 losses in the Big 12. If MSU gave the effort they did at Iowa City last week they are losing against all ten Big 12 teams who are all at least 60 spots higher in RPI.

I think either of them would challenge for the Big 12. Ohio State I haven't watched as much. The bottom half of the 14 teams is a joke though. ISU would be feasting now that Lard has developed because it's just a lot of slow bad basketball in the bottom half.

Listened because I was doing chores and didn’t want to hurt my eyes by watching.

Favorite quote by Bobby on the color call “Iowa with more of that matador ole defense, and the Buckeyes run right by.”

His points/game is very impressive at 35 something per game. But his overall shooting percentage is little over 50%, 3pt percentage is mid 30%, and assists/game is low as well according the stat posted by an Iowa fans. I expect a 6’6” player to post a shooting percentage better 60% in Iowa high school basketball.

They're just one kid from Muscatine away from being a real contender.
