It's started to look like the Generals against the Globetrotters here over the past few minutes.

Man, it is so hilarious to read preseason posts form some hawk fans such as DanL53. Garza = Kevin McHale, Nunge = Nowitzsky?, rim protector? We are excited about Wigginton and Lard but no Cyclone fans compare them to Curry or Olajuwon.

The only thing I've seen that ISU fans get Hawkdom-esque is when ISU's won in conference, there's a touch of tourney discussion/scenarios, although it's because they've dominated a Top 10-15 team so there's actual potential.

I think plenty are still a bit realistic about the future though, just hoping for an NCAA tourney next season instead of Final Four talk.

If ISU makes the NIT I'll hope the fans take it as experience and a nice extension of the season instead of something nationally relevant.

Iowa’s a joke just like Barta and I’m not even an Iowa fan, weiscamp should Wise up and look elsewhere. A couple possible good players don’t mean **** herky boys. Just pay up and go get a better coach.
