All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Someone is ecstatic about their team’s ‘17 season as well as ‘18. Just happy as all get out.

After asking for a link I felt obligated to peruse the Hock boards to see what I was after. While it took me 22 seconds to find was I was looking for, I could not have felt more filthy & vile. Well, curiosity peaked for me again & back I went to just review the tone of post titles. MY GAWD, the number of pathetic mongrels in that fan base is astronomical. I understand Gonzo & couple others coming over here some of the time so much more now. There are 100’s of Yeah Butties over there.
 
So, what does the All-Iowa 2018 team look like? It has to be more enjoyable to talk about than the splitting hairs of Kempt/Stanley, Montgomery/Wadley, & Lanning/Jewell.

Kempt's PFF numbers were ridiculous too just like Montgomery's and Jackson's. Lanning Stanley and Jewell not so much

This is based on what they did this season, not potential. I think Epenesa will be on this roster by next season's end but went with on-field results so far.

QB - Stanley
RB - Montgomery
RB - Young
TE - Fant
WR - Butler
WR - Easley
OT - Jackson
OT - Wirfs
C - Good-Jones
OG - Knipfel
OG - Render

DE - A.Nelson
DE - Hesse
DT - Lima
DT - Bailey
OLB - Spears
MLB - ???
OLB - Harvey
CB - Peavy
CB - Payne
FS - Hooker
SS - Snyder

K - Recinos
P- Anyone but Rastetter = ISU punter

Pretty good list.

Think Bailey would play at DE instead of DT. He's 260.

Like Epenesa I'm guessing we see another ISU receiver in contention. Likely Matt Eaton or D. Jones.

I'm interested to see what ISU does at safety. Hopefully Eisworth is as good as expected/and the youngsters step up.

Also think Matt Leo will be a dude like AJ will.

OL is a tough one. Could interchange several between Iowa & ISU. Especially if Daniels returns.

Also, how old is Rastetter? He had a tough year but if he's young he could get better.

Seeing this list makes me feel good about how much ISU has returning, particularly on defense.

Punter will be an incoming dude named Corey Dunn, by the way (but I get that doesn't fit the "results from this season" criteria).

Why is there two RB? If that's the case it would be Kene in the other spot. Also is Render even good?

Yeah I based this on Daniels not coming back. He's announcing tomorrow, didn't think he'd bolt but sounds like that's the deal.

You could pull a freshman majoring in aerospace engineering out of the student section and he'd kick the ball as well as Rastetter.
