In the end playing at home in front of the regional Big Ten fans proved too much. The long trip into Big Ten country for BC exhausted and distracted their young players.

It's only fair after the Big Ten travelled to ACC and Big East country in Florida for bowls for years that Boston College have to travel to the heart of the Big Ten to play a bowl game one the road.

Good win for Iowa, did what they had to do to win. BC passing game really helped Iowa defense a lot. QB was lost under pressure.
