He’s been a mediocre OC and has well known anger issues, but as long as he uses that rage to get his team pumped for the Iowa State game the hawks will not fire him.

Actually he's been awful. They aren't even top 100 in total offense.

They had to put security outside of the replay officials box because he was trying to go after them. He also broke his hand in the press box punching the wall a few weeks back too

Yeah he went off so loud on the replay officials that people in the other boxes heard them and security was requested for everyone's safety

Anybody who thinks BF will be conservative are delusional. He was also in charge of the run game this year. Turned out pretty good.

I think it is probably the best hire for them. I think Davis was a horrible hire, didnt understand what Kirk wants to do at all.
Also, Brian Ferentz is highly thought of in the coaching world. If he would of went to the NFL to coach the oline under O'Brien he would probably be on his way to an OC in the NFL. He was promoted basically every year he was with the Patriots. You can still run a pro style offense but mix things up to not be so predictable. But most of their passing problems will only be fixed by better WRs.

Not saying he has done a great job or anything, but he is far and away better than Greg Davis. At least we actually take shots down field now. Having two fifth year seniors go out on the OL has really hampered our running game, which is usually a strong point.
