*RUMOR* why is Park taking a leave of absence?

CPR? Starting surprise QBs when things looked bleak, and pull onside kicks and/or fake punts/field goals?

It's what I remember most from him aside from his speeches. IIRC people the exciting risk taking to cover up the fact that they were out of ideas or plans.

I guess I thought it was mostly because whatever QB was playing either sucked or got injured. For example, Richardson started that Kansas game because someone got injured. Jantz was bad, so someone had to replace him. I didn't necessarily think he switched quarterbacks for fun, but maybe he did.

it appears Campbell choose his words pretty carefully.[/QUOTE]

I don't see how. He asked if he was suspended and he said he is not. If he said something like I can't comment on that, or didn't answer, then I would be suspicious.

Against the Sooners it isn't going to make much difference who is at QB.

I don't think it was for 'fun', it was just something he seemed to do just before the game, which would yield better results because the other team wasn't prepped for it.

Perfect example was Barnett's start at Tech in '11. No one even knew who he was but they ran basically what he did in high school so ISU was able to go crazy in Lubbock for a night. Barnett was also inserted unexpectedly at TCU in '12 for that win.

It was all very 'smoke and mirrors' or whatever because none of it was sustainable.

I don't see CMC going this route; if he does, people are right to question it.

Starting QB leaked.

He said he is not suspended from the team. Could be suspended for a game but still allowed to practice (part of the team yet). Could be other reasons someone doesn't travel and/or play also (health, personal, family concerns, etc.). I will be surprised if he plays.

I'm talking about what he said to the tribune.

True enough. Lanning was also the guy who put up 66 against Tech.

I'm not saying that I don't think Park should have been given the job, just that a normal human reaction for the guy that was replaced might have been that he could have done better. Hell, that's a good quality.
Major fail comparing Texas' defense this year to the worst run defense in the country last year

Unlike your run of the mill troll he at least qualified his post as *RUMOR* so that leads me to believe he's maybe not just trolling.

For ****'s sake. I said that it didn't matter as far as the game went, but that it doesn't help a young QB to miss a game for no reason other than he broke a team rule.

But when Park has a ****** game in a game we could actually win, then I expect to see a bunch of people not give a **** and just be so, so happy.

His ****** game would have been a good day for some of our former QBs. 50% completions with zero help and 246 yards. He was far from the only guy who looked like crap and he was the only guy who made any sort of special play with the exception of the Murdock catch. No, he wasn't good, but to make it sound as if he was just standing back there missing everyone is ridiculous.

In a way I hope he is.

1. It will prevent him from getting injured during a beat-down.
2. We can see what is behind him.

It's not like we are going to beat Oklahoma with or without him.

Yes, it's great to have your starting QB and team captain suspended mid season for breaking rules. "At least he won't get hurt" is such a loser mentality.
