Look at the product on the field. The fact that fans are willing to pay anything is crazy good. You go undefeated and can't sell out your last game.
We sold out the last 3 games of 2015. Rose Bowl, Championship game and @Nebraska?

This....I think winning is more of a relief to both fan bases.I actually think the game has similar importance to both teams. It is the game that you least want to lose. Fans of both sides dread the thought of losing.

Of course he wouldn't. That's basic business. He has to build a foundation of new ISU faithful that was very small in the 80's and 90's (that would now be big time donors and season ticket holders). Iowa had Hayden Fry and they had the state of Iowa on lock so nearly everyone in the state became Hawk fans in that time frame unless you or your family went to ISU. ISU did nothing to try to counter Iowa during that time. It took for the late 90's for ISU to be competitive in the Cy-Hawk game again and the 2000's for Jamie to come to ISU and begin building the new foundation. There is a reason enrollment has surpassed Iowa. There is a reason the Cyclone Club has been increasing donations each year. There is a reason that ISU has been setting school season ticket records and all of it extends beyond wins and losses because ISU has done nothing in that category in several years. Take off the Hawkeye football blinders and see the entire picture and it makes sense.
Basketball is moot. If you have a good team, a 12,000 seat arena is not hard to fill.
Ok, Georgia Tech and Tenn is over so
time for bed. I enjoyed the conversation. It makes rivalry week a lot of fun!
Iowa seems to dwarf ISU in football ticket revenue and doesn't have to discount tickets to "young adults". They offer youth tickets to some of the non con games at $20 or $25 but that's it.
How many other programs offer discounted season tickets for "young adults"? If it was such a great idea, I am sure there are several of them doing it.
What makes you think those same folks will continue to shell out the cash if ISU ever raises their tickets to big boy prices? If they aren't going to, you are stuck in this same rut of selling tickets dirt cheap.
UI hasn't gotten noticeably better or achieved higher in... Well, years. There was the 12-0 season, and then a bunch of similar seasons that all blur together. Same story every year: average-to-good season, 7-9 wins, get f***ing a**blown in a bowl game, come back next year with basically the same team and same weaknesses as the year before.
Sounds good, Mr. Pelini.WTF cyclone insanity. Criticizing the Iowa coaching staff for churning out 7 to 9 win seasons while ISU wins 3 games a year.

Speaking of, I forgot it was Bo's national holiday yesterday. Belated Happy 9-4 Day everyone!Sounds good, Mr. Pelini.
We will be able to run the ball on Iowa from the start. Their LBs won't be able to cover all of the talent we have at receiver. We are going to score early and often. This will be the most fun Cy/Hawk game ever!I think ISU's key to victory is making Iowa's linebackers cover receivers early. Iowa plays that base defense as good as anybody, but if ISU can burn those backers early and often in coverage then Iowa will have to adjust that base defense. In turn that will open up some lanes for Montgomery and Warren.
Of course, we'll need to give Park enough time to make those throws.
How far does Iowa fall when KF retires? Hopefully far enough that we'll stop playing them. UNI and Iowa should never be in the same season.

Wow. I was just listening to the Voice of the Cyclone and voice of the Hawkeye podcast. I had no idea that countdown clock said beat Iowa all spring and summer. The voice of the Cyclones didn't even dispute this.
I also found it interesting that the Voice of the Cyclones disagrees with @CyTwins and says this isnt Iowa's Super Bowl. He feels both teams should get up for the game and both teams want to win the game. I totally agree with the Voice of the Clones, @CyTwins is just a troll and a fraud.
Lol good one.
The Voice of the Hawkeyes said he has photographic proof, and the Voice of the Cyclones didn't deny it.
Broken link.
I'll trust the Voice of the Hawks and Clones.
Who's that?Broken link.
