OK - who wins the game on Sept. 9th ?

I must say it's pretty impressive ISU snagged him over Bama. Kind of jealous as that doesn't happen very often to in-state schools.
To clarify...those were his offers out of high school. He went to Georgia, then transferrred JUCO didn't play but iSu found him before anyone else realized he was available

They don't have a QB on their roster that can make that type of play this year.

Actually Stanley might be able to do that, He came from an option running team in high school which is why he was not as highly recruited as he should have been. It will be interesting to see if he becomes a dual threat guy or not.

Remember that time when Iowa's O-Line was voted best in the country, only to have Stanford pornhub them on national TV? Shows you how much those awards mean.

Actually that was last year. Stanford game was previous season.

Is this the same QB you are talking about?

Looks like he quit the team since he was 4th string behind a guy that is now a punter and another guy who started one game at UGA and is now at Colorado State.

Edit---so in summary it appears Georgia's starting punter is a better QB than ISU's starting QB.
Your deductive reasoning is that of a five year old girl with ADD. So in other words...hoklike

But using your reasoning... he still has a better resume than either hok QB.

Oh, I'm sorry. Here is my edit:

yeah they shouldn't have won the award. Except it is a unit award. But still the pass blocking was borderline terrible in games. That Northwestern game sticks out to me. One guy gave up 4 sacks and I am not sure it was on the WRs, but it could have been. The Greg Davis offense was a pass game killer.

You don't even know if Stanley is the starter

Who hired Greg Davis?

Iowa lost 30-3 and your NFL QB had a QBR of 8.5. I'm not sure you realize how bad you have to be to have a QBR of 8.5

He was hurt and should have come out. One thing that does irk me is that Ferentz would not pull him to at least give him a little rest time. We got behind early and was obvious passing situations and Beathard was not going to run. Pass blocking was not good. Greg Davis horizontal pass game was terrible. Florida's defense was good.

Funny though SF 49ers love him! So there is that as evidence to the contrary.

Park is good, but I remember when Purdue had that top QB from a few years ago that transferred in from Miami and didnt do anything. So, anything can happen but the odds are Park could be Jake Christiansen 2.0
Park had a higher passer rating last year than Bethard. Better TD/IN ratio. Better completion % and according to iowa hok fans played behind a worse OL with worse RBs.

Yeah, there was no way they deserved that award that year. Everyone in the country knew it, except Iowa fans of course. It was as if the award was only for run blocking and pass protection had nothing to do with it. There were numerous better OL's that year than Iowa's.

Yep, everyone watching Beathard play injured the last several games of that season wondered why in the world KF kept Beathard in for so long, but I guess the truth is now known..... Beathard on one leg was still way better than Stanley at 100%.

This one is LOL funny. Now we are looking back years at who offered to see if someone is better now. Iowa doesn't know what we have at QB yet and neither does anyone else. All just speculation. We will know a little after the 1st game and will have a much better idea say half way into the season.

Will be glad when it is Sept 10 and this is settled. Some of this stuff is just way out there reaching.

Park didn't have a single other offer when he committed to ISU.

okay, but what did the pass defenses rank who he played against? What was Beathard's rating against ISU and what was Park's against Iowa?

Was he hurt or injured? If he's just hurt and an NFL caliber player I think you keep him in there.
