Iowa Football Recruiting

How is this my argument? I know Florida State isn't offering promotions to sell season tickets so I'm asking for a link. If you haven't noticed I'm just messing with him since he's making no sense. His main theory is if you sell the worst tickets in the stadium for less than the best tickets in the stadium you are "giving away those cheaper tickets". Seriously. That is his theory here.

Well other seats, have high seat premiums to sit there, so what are those seats then if cheaper seats are giving them away??? Do they cancel out??

What does this mean?

From the article:

"The Tippies made a $5 million commitment to endow the UI's athletic director's position, and in honor of their gift, the position will be named the Henry B. and Patricia B. Tippie Director of Athletics Chair.

The Tippies' gift will be invested in the Henry Fund, a fund managed by M.B.A. students in the UI Henry B. Tippie College of Business. Annual payout from the gift will be available to the athletic director to spend on top department priorities. With this gift, Iowa will be the third Big Ten Conference school to endow its athletic director's position, and the Henry Fund will be the fourth largest student-managed fund in the Big Ten Conference."

Its most likely just a way to give the AD chair a title named after them for their generosity but it sounds like something only big time programs are doing.

I still don't know what this means. Barta got a donation? Hopefully it keeps him there forever

I just explained it and quoted the article.

Maybe this will help:

en·dow
inˈdou,enˈdou/

give or bequeath an income or property to (a person or institution).

I still don't get it. So they gave a 5 million dollar donation to Barta? That's actually a positive in my book
