Went to Mason City for their Sun. nite social ride. It's a hour long ride thru residential M.C. it starts and ends in a little park. At the end there is a food truck there and a lady selling donut sundaes, and a free beer. It certainly isn't a work out ride but it was a lot of fun.

The one I went to last year just used stakes. Just put them all the way into the ground and make sure they stay all the way down and there shouldn't be any issue.

sounds good. We have a whole bucket of landscaping ones left by the builder so those would work nicely I imagine.

CG, I'm thinking your going to score a ton of "the Fun Aunt" points with the slip and slide. You'll really score points if you go down it once or twice with them. I did a lot of fun kid things with my nieces and nephews and don't regret any of it. I'm still the favorite uncle for them ( at least that's what they tell me.) :)

at least with the older two, ha! DH did mention that he thinks you could get air on the second hill since it's kind of abrupt.

Yours is $30 vs. $150 for the Wahii one.........

this will be for kids too, well, actually primarily kids but I imagine some of our friends may wish to join.

Didn't know about the soap trick. How do you secure the sides? We used like, cinder blocks and stakes and **** when I was a kid but my siblings and I were pretty ah, nonchalant about slide-by injuries. I prefer to not cause injury to young nieces.
That $150 was a cheaper one. They had some up around $750 with built in bumpers to keep you on the slide.

Bumpers? CG uses cinder blocks, they will knock you back in. Instead of soap, if they butcher pigs, get the lard and grease it up with that. It would be like a Christmas vacation sled. Would probably shoot off into the neighbors.
