Back to how close you tailgate to the stadium again?

Lots of reasons many can't tailgate right next to the stadium, just like in Ames. The more money you give the closer to the stadium you can get typically. Finkbine is good for those who don't have season tickets and only come to a game or two a year. Most the season ticket holders like me have deals works out with homeowners to rent spots, or with the university to park in lots.

Do you have anything that doesn't center around the distance away from the stadium? If you don't like walking, there are lots of good spots you can get in Iowa City, it just requires more money.

You said being able to tailgate at Finkbine adds "charm". WTF does that even mean?

ISU fans don't have to tailgate in the tailgating lots. I know lots of people that tailgate at houses on Beach or near the stadium and people that tailgate at the Tip Top. The great thing about Jack Trice is most people can tailgate close to the stadium and that is the most ideal situation for anyone

Hey guys, what do you think of my new car decal?

You say Iowa has good tailgating because of the variety of locations to do it then you mock somebody for tailgating there... Maybe you prefer the parking lot tailgates?

Yeah, I mocked you for tailgating there.

The variety is great. We can tailgate at house that are a 1 minute walk away. We can tailgate int hospital parking ramps, by Carver, on Melrose, at a golf course, or even miles away and take a train to the game.

Lol you are getting owned in this thread and it's highly entertaining to watch

So if you had the option to tailgate next to Kinnick or a mile away in a parking lot you would pick the one further away?

I don't make my decisions based on proximity to the stadium.

Are all the tailgates closing to the stadium more fun in Ames? Would you rather tailgate with some lame people close to the stadium, or be at a fun tailgate 1 mile away.

Why is distance so important to you? Are you extremely overweight or something, if so I can understand why this distance thing is so important to you.

Even you don't truly believe it's the "88th best home court advantage in college basketball"

I dont like to argue with statistics. I cut @CyTwins some slack in the basketball thread as there was 9 years of Hilton that were pre "magic" but there have been over 35 seasons since the "magic" was created so you think it would be much higher.

You think Carver is a harder place to play than Hilton?

If all you care about is being close to the stadium, than I agree, you are crushing this tailgating thing. You have offered absolutely nothing else outside of that. So crongrats on having big parking
Lots around Trice and being the cookie cutter tailgating capitol of Iowa.

I wouldn't want to tailgate with any lame people regardless of location. You didn't answer my question, would you rather tailgate at Finkbine or at Kinnick? I could tailgate at a friends house a mile away from Jack Trice but I'd rather tailgate at my donor spot.

Not surprising since there are some really bad years over the 41 (longer than many on the list) that it's been used.

I want to tailgate at a spot all of my friends can afford to tailgate at. Doesn't matter to me if I have to walk 5 minutes or over a mile.

My favorite was parking At a house where we had access to the garage. There was power in there and we could set up all the food inside with fans if it was hot and heaters if it was cold. There was trees for shade early in the year and they were great wind breaks for later in the years. You don't get any of this in parking lots.

Sounds like you should get friends with more money.
