All I'm saying is you gotta start somewhere. And Iowa made it to the level they are at after a first two seasons of 1-10 and 3-9.

No but they didn't have to play Ohio State like usual who made the National Title game. If CMC only had to play 2 ranked teams the entire regular season in year 4 it could be possible
Never seen a fan base do more chest thumping over how good their opponents are than ISU fans do. Clone fans don't root for wins, instead they want a tough SOS so they can cry about the schedule. ISU played 6 teams that didn't even make bowl games last year, and could only manage 3 wins.
Nobody is pumping chests about anything. I said there is no way ISU is going to only have to play 2 ranked teams in the entire regular season like Iowa did in year 4 of the Ferentz era so it's comparing apples to oranges
So playing 3 ranked teams mean that ISU can't win 11 games, but could win 10?
To pretend that ISU doesn't lose to non ranked teams is beyond stupid, even for you.
As you were typing this (especially the bold), were you thinking to yourself "this is stupid and makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever, but I've already typed it out so I'm just going to go with it"? Because if not, you should have been.
Iowa beat 2 top ten teams on the road in 2002. When was the last time isu beat 2 top ten teams on the road?

Oh and just because KF and Iowa did this doesn't mean isu can do the same.
I'm just saying ISU will play a much more difficult schedule in year 4 of CMC than Iowa did in year 4 of KF. You don't have to argue everything especially when you know I'm right on this one
Well in Iowa's defense, it should have been 3 ranked teams but ISU crapped the bed that season.
ISU has only played 3 top 25 teams from the Big12 in 4 out of the last 5 years. Stop pretending that if ISU played 2 instead of 3, they would go from 3 wins to 11 wins.
ISU isn't going to only play 2 ranked teams in year four of CMC like KF got to. That's all I'm saying
Granted, if Iowa was a crap team instead of the #8 team in the country, both 8-5 Minn and 8-6 Wisconsin would have both had 9 wins and likely ranked after both beating ranked teams in their bowl games. I guess that is just what happens when you are one of those higher level teams in the conference every once in a while.
When was the last time ISU only played 2 ranked teams in one regular season? I'll hang up and listen and the answer should be pretty easy to figure out
ISU fan will never get this as anything above 8th place in the conference is a historic season for their football program.
Their schedule would be a bit more manageable if they werent consistently in the bottom 1/3 of the conference every season.
That remains to be seen. Iowa beat two top 15 teams on the road that year and played six bowl teams and that doesn't include a talented MSU squad and tough Miami of Ohio team.
Iowa had the 49th ranked SOS that year which is what ISU had last year.
