***Official 2017 Transfer Thread***

I actually think Edwards is the priority since the staff has been evaluating him for a while and is his first visit during the open period. The staff just contacted Alstork and haven't set a visit.

Pretty sure Alstork just recently announced he was transferring which would explain why they just contacted him and haven't set up a visit.

Alstork may be a case of, "hey look at what just became available".

Remember reading that's why they passed on Leland King as well. Brown transfer who ended up at Nevada.

Wasn't there someone we supposedly passed on that ended up having a decent year at their chosen school?

Xavian Stapleton maybe? That might be wrong

6-2 210 guard originally from Toronto and played AAU ball with CIA bounce. Lindell Wiggington and him follow each other on twitter.

Interesting career at OSU.

13-14 3.1 ppg in 11 min per game

14-15 10.7 ppg 3.0 rpg 3.5 apg in 36 min

15-16 6.1 ppg 2.4 rpg 2.2 apg in 25 min

16-17 sat out for "personal reasons"

IIRC they had a coaching change after the 14/15 season. Craig Robinson was let go for Wayne Tinkle. Could explain why his minutes went down.

Interest in Alstork makes me think that Edwards is a back up plan but this weekend is when we could get him to come in. I think Shayok looks like he's a shoe in for a sit out player that we were looking for, so the other guard position would have to be an immediate player that can provide some scoring chops. Wondering what else we are in for posts as I'm sure we aren't just putting our eggs in the Juiston basket.

Uhh?

Good handle who isn't afraid penetrate into the lane and finish with either hand. Ability to make difficult passes and set up easy shots for his teammates. Also has a quick release on the catch and shoot from deep. Can absolutely see why the staff has expressed an interest.

Wow, a little of everything and a lot of what we need. It's a highlight video, I realize, but he's impressive. The size, athleticism, and all-around game reminds me of Kane in some ways.

He's got a lot of suitors, but we can offer as much as anyone.

How Edwards does in the scrimmage against the guys we have on campus now will probably determine if ISU takes him. The coaches like him, but he's gotta prove it once he's on campus. Same reason we passed on guys like Justin Edwards who ended up at KSU.
This is known as the Edwards Test.

Watching that video I definitely saw flashes of Kane. Big guard who plays with good pace & can muscle his way to the basket.

Similar. Had a load on his plate and had similar stats to Kane. I really like the rebounding numbers he put up from that spot.

Coach Robinson has been following Morrow on twitter since he decommitted from Nebraska. Coach Prohm just started following him as well fwiw.
