Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

I wonder if he will even play basketball? Seems like the last few interviews I have seen with him that he talks as if he likes playing baseball more.

I've heard some talks he might not. I know we give Fran a hard time but I think Fran is really just trying to protect his son here. He obviously didn't develop like he was projected and you don't want to see another Cullen Neal situation

I'm surprised Iowa fans are trolling so hard this morning instead of worrying about real issues, like how Vanderbilt was able to get a 9 seed with the exact same resume as Iowa who wasn't even close.

You never answered my question, are you cheering for Minnesota, Purdue and Wisconsin in the tournament?

I'm cheering for Wisconsin to win the first game and then lose to Nova, for Purdue to go to the Sweet 16 and for Minnesota to get upset in the first round, cause that is what I have picked for my bracket.

Man @HawkeyeMashup you're the odd man out here. Let me guess, you're cheering against your rival Iowa State in the first round?

8, 9, who cares, they've also lost to powerhouses like Bradley and Bucknell who were double digit seeds in the tournament.

I'm feeling great this morning, why are you guys trying to deflect blame by playing semantics and grammar instead of focusing on the real issues?

That was like 12 or 13 years ago.

We've got our own bracket named after us.......

Same resume or same record? 2 different things

Vandy and Iowa's resume was not the same.

Vandy played 25 games against the RPI Top 100 going 11-14 while Iowa played 19 going 8-11.

Vandy had the #1 SOS according to RPI and Iowa was #55.

Like the Iowa divisions of the Not Important Teams tournament.

Great job, keep up the good work! (As I pat you on the head)

Lol, so? I didn't know there was a statute of limitations on ripping Kansas. It doesn't matter anyways, Kansas was still good back then and lost to double digit seeds.

Your post said they choke every year, you are wrong.

Well, congrats I guess. I was hoping to see them in the real tourney though. All they had to do was not get embarrassed by Indiana and they would have made it.

Wrong, if Iowa would have lost to Indiana by 1 point we would still be in the NIT.

I was thinking about going down to watch SD beat Iowa tonight, but I'm busy driving to the NCAA tournament tomorrow. :)

I don't care what Vandy's SOS was. They beat exactly 1 of those teams, the exact same team that Iowa beat as their only good non-conf win.

What the hell good does SOS do if you cant win a game? They didnt beat anybody, not Minnesota, not Middle Tennessee, not Dayton. Same as Iowa losing to Virginia, Seton Hall, and Notre Dame.

The only difference is they actually "played a few more top 100 teams instead of the Stetson and Delaware State level teams.

Why are you trying to defend a 15 loss team that got in over you?

Their SOS doesnt apply only to OOC games. They beat FL three times this year.
