I think getting 7 teams in is probably done barring some run through the Big 12 tournament, and may not get 6 if TCU or KSU don't get their acts together.

I think the love affair with the Big 12's balance was BS. It's a good conference but nothing special except other conferences are flat-out crappy.
These team lack depth. The long conference season takes a toll and it is showing...we've been in their shoes before.
One of TCU or KSU is going to make it. They play each other next week so the winner of that game probably needs only 1 more win to make it at 8-10. They will likely be in the play-in game, but they'll make it
It's one thing to be a competitive team its another to figure out how to win or get over that hump. The bottom is good just not good enough. Same teams are rising to the top that have the past few years.
Hard to believe OSU has a winning conference record now.
The horrible math skills works both ways. People see we only have 2-3 bad teams and don't realize it's like if the ACC only had 4-5 bad teams.
Usually it's the other way around where if we have 6 good teams a bigger conference has 6 they call that a draw with no comprehension of basic math.

I've been saying for a couple weeks there is gonna end up some substantial separation when it's all said and done. And I think TCU, KSU and TT are all out. Only five get in.

I subscribe more to the "victims of the grind" school of thought vs "they aren't that good". TCU, Kansas State and Tech are all good teams with good players. I've watched enough basketball in my life to know that. The difference between success and failure this year hung on the edge of a razor. A shot falling or not falling. A team's belief in itself, along with a coach that was able to say and do the right things at the right time (or not).
Man, I didn't think Oky State would make it to 8-7, with the start to the conference that they had. Evans had 21 pts and 9 assists last night.
