Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

I'm not checking that out...could we get some examples?

After this year our program is back to the McDoormat days and Iowa is going to be elite.... Oh and I forgot to mention Cyclowns. I mean Iowa's a young team so obviously the final four is in their near future but since Iowa State will be young next year, so the program will never bounce back o_O

That's so accurate except ISU football will be much better the next few years than Iowa football.

ISU football is going to be much better than Iowa football the next few years?

haha, I will be sure to remember this post.

Iowa's team may be young because Fran flopped on the recruiting trail the previous two years but which one of their young guys is really going to improve? Cook is probably about it, he'll be a good one. Moss has been in the program two years already and it sounds like consistency will always be an issue with him and once people figured out Pemsl was left handed he's seemed to hit a wall. Bear and Ellingson are better than any of their freshman right now

Do they even have a future with all the pieces they lose after this season?

Meanwhile, after today's loss at Kansas, they will be a horrible 13-9, 5-5.

But hey, Monte Morris says they are better than all the teams they lost to, so there is that when it comes to Big Dance considerations.

o_O

Classic Hawk that puts his massive foot in his mouth before the game is over. Idiot.
KU choked this game away.

ISU has no future; that is for sure. Care to comment on that?

Of course not.

Clown fans only show up to tell us how good they are.

I have no desire to go to their site; I know they hate being little brother, but do they really need to come to our site and post?
The last post killed me

It's a shame that they will only have cook for one year since he is a one and done.

Thanks for pointing out that thread, deserves a link:
https://iowa.forums.rivals.com/threads/gotta-feel-bad-for-iowa-state-today-for-their-future.179956/

Quite possibly the most butthurt and pathetic thread I've ever read in my life. Their rabid jealousy of ISU basketball is off the charts. Some of the rationalizing going on there is insane. Most don't realize Prohm has legit elite guards coming in.
It's amazing how much Iowa and Kansas claim to "not care about little brother" but can't help but complain when something good happens to us. What does that say? Idk if I've ever had a want/need to post about how stupid Iowa is because they beat Michigan State

If you look up the definition of inferiority complex in the dictionary you get a picture of Hawkeye fans.

I think 4 or 5 posters in that thread might kill themselves if ISU has a good basketball season next year. They've been saying we'll suck for 7 years in a row, been hilariously wrong for 7 straight years while their own team has won nothing of consequence, and now have all the hope pinned on Monte graduating when we have our highest rated PG recruit ever coming in.

It's hilarious watching them say how much 6 straight NCAA appearances sucks. It would be like fans on this board saying 6 straight bowl games sucks. So delusional and pathetic I feel sorry for them in their jealous rage.

"White leaving early just put ISU back in the cellar"
"Wait until you guys lose Kane"
"Once Ejim is gone Cyclowns are going to take a big step back"

I would actually argue that making 6 straight NCAA tournaments is a much higher achievement than making 6 straight bowl games. In football .500 gets you into a bowl and in hoops .500 doesn't even get you into the NIT.

There's an idiot on there arguing it's a single group of players who have gone to 6 straight. They don't need a better basketball program, they need to watch Sesame Street to learn counting.

If Royce, Ejim, Niang, Clyburn, Kane, McGee and Morris were all major contributors on the same team you're looking at a likely undefeated national champion. In this guy's damaged mind that's just one group of players.

It started out that ISU was all hired gun 1 and 2 year players that wouldn't work out...now it's one group of players who started together for 6 seasons.

l'd like to add.
"Once Hoiberg leaves for the NBA..."
"Adding Thug transfers won't work"
"Iowa does it the right way developing players for 4 years"
"Now that Hoiberg is gone..."
"Prohm is a mid major and will be McD or Lickliter"
"Prohm won't be able to recruit players"

The only consistent thing over the past 6 years is ISU being in the NCAA Tourney each year.

We are going to have a rebuilding year next year and I still think we're better than Iowa. We'll have much better guards and basketball is a guards game.
