This Saturday makes me nervous. I start to think of the what-ifs, the positive what-ifs, and I get nervous. What-if we end this season on a 3 game win streak and beat a ranked opponent on senior day? It has been YEARS since ISU ended a football season on a positive note.

And it is that possibility that makes me nervous. Plus, this is an odd week for game prep. Ugh, Saturday afternoon can't come fast enough.

We are playing with house money this week. I expect to see a fired up team on Saturday. Does that lead to a W? Maybe but at this point we have lots of good vibes heading into the off-season. Worst case scenario we get blown out but I just don't see that happening.

Nervous? Why?

I'd be nervous if we were sitting on 5 wins right now. But we have 3, so my feeling is more excitement than anything. Excited about how we could potentially end this season and what that will do for this program going into next year. This is an opportunity for this team.

There will be drinking.

No nervousness from this guy. In some ways, I am surprised I am this excited about attending a game in late November with no bowl or anything else on the line. This is my 41st year attending games at JTS, and we know how disappointing a lot of those games have been. Still, this could be the best finish to a season in years! And I am going to the game with my son who said to me before we walked into JTS before the Oklahoma game, "Dad, I want to go here."
