King will be on Lazard wherever he lines up

Being drafted higher doesn't make you a better college WR. Lazard has averaged 65.6 ypg in college with terrible QB's, Chesson has averaged 38.3 ypg. That should end the debate right there

Here's a tip on using stats/grades. You can't just use them when they fit your narrative. You also have to acknowledge Chesson playing with 4 other fairly high caliber NFL guys.

Rudock had more TD's than Beathard last year and played in one less game.
Yeah, Jake had a great year last year. Really happy for him. The two guys had pretty comparable passing stats, which is somewhat shocking to me with the talent disparity of the guys they had to throw to and their health status throughout the year. That 2 OT game with Indiana sure helped pad Jake's passing stats, that's for sure. CJ had a pretty good edge on him in rushing, and helped his team to a #2 scoring offense in the B10. Jake didn't do bad coming in at 7th.

Yeah but you already made it clear you'd rather have the guy that scores more

Which you could argue helps his numbers just as easily as you could argue it hurts them

Yeah, I should have put in my qualifier of how interceptions work in to that. His 9 vs CJ's 5, despite one extra game for CJ, really almost plays into the negative territory for me personally.

For a recap:
CJ - 17 passing, 6 rushing = 23 total
Jake - 20 passing, 4 rushing = 24 total

Just my opinion, but 4 extra picks for the year doesn't outweight the one extra passing TD. Just don't like someone that reckless on my team. Good kid though, glad it worked out for him.

Interesting, I wonder why he wasn't listed in the top 101 of the one they just put out two weeks ago

I don't know. Unless they had a different formula they were using to come up with that.

Interesting side note from PFF. Lazard was the only player on ISU's offense with a positive grade against Iowa.

Yeah but catches, yards, interceptions, etc don't matter remember? You want the guy that scores more and Rudock did that while playing in one less game so Rudock is your guy

Nah.. you missed the interception qualifier I just talked about. They're like negative scoring to me. You obviously like the reckless gunslinger who doesn't care about putting his team in a bad spot, which is fine. Just doesn't help the team score as much (that 2nd vs 7th thing I talked about).

Baker Mayfield had 36 TD's and 7 INT's
Beathard had 17 TD's and 5 INT's

So by your theory is Mayfield twice the QB Beathard is?

Beathard wasn't even in the top 50 in touchdowns last year. Yikes

According to @AmesHawk yes he does. I disagree though, I think he's a very good college QB even though he doesn't score a lot
This shirt suggests that he does score quite a bit.

Nope, but he is better. I assume you don't think Taywan Taylor from WKU is just as good as Allen is right? Since his 2015 stats look much nicer:

AL: 56 catches, 808 yards, 14.4 yards/catch, 6 TD
TT: 86 catches, 1467 yards, 17.1 yards/catch, 17 TD

Western Kentucky? Cmon man. Their QB had 48 TD's last year but notice I didn't compare him to Beathard

Might as well just throw stats out the window then

Didn't want to state it in the other post, but let's be honest here. ISU is more comparable to WKU than it is to Michigan. But would Jakeem Grant be a better comparison?
