Looks like us Gunners may have to go through the same thing with Mahrez as Vardy. Sure would be nice to add him into the RW

Torn on this transfer. If we spend 42 million on Mahrez I think that would be window done for us. Good player though.
With Higuain gone, the only other option I'd want that is "reportedly available" would be Lacazette. RW has been a huge hole for us for years now and it seems that AW has plugged anybody and everybody for that spot without success. If there's no move to be made at striker I would gladly take this.
Arsenal fans are something else. You think Mahrez will save you now. Alexis Sanchez is one of the best all around players in the world. He has not helped you win anything. Ozil was better when he was acquired and he has been a shell of himself under Wenger. Get rid of the man on top and maybe Arsenal could at least be the sum of its parts.
We don't need world class we just need someone that can score goals.
I have my doubts about the Mahrez deal no club gets used more by agents to get better contracts/better moves than we do.
You really aren't that bright are you? "Ozil has been a shell of himself" the man was damn near close to breaking the assists in a season record last year and would have had it had he found help from Giroud and Walcott. Not to mention the fact that Alexis was out for a good portion of last year. We know we need a quality striker but if we cant find one through this transfer period Mahrez can make some of those goals up. I agree that Wenger needs to go and a good majority of our fans will agree on that, but take your Arsenal fan hatred and shove it.
Mahrez was 5th in goals scored last season, Giroud was 6th and Sanchez was 9th.
This thread should be titled the Arsenal Premiere League thread. When Ozil did nothing but give up possession in 2014 I guess that was him just waiting in the wings. Is he better, yes. But the first years after that signing were painful. I don't hate Arsenal fans your just delusional. Arteta and Flamini need to be replaced. Spend some money on midfield, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised by what Giroud can offer in the right sets. Walcott needs new management or needs out. The guys broken. Fix those issues and the need for Mahrez is minimal
And you think that's gonna add up to 1st place? I dug up a stat the other day and something like every PL winning side since 2009 has had a 20+ goal scoring STRIKER.

No I don't. I don't want to buy Lacazette I just think we're ****** this season. The only guys potentially available would be Aubemayang, hijack Higuain to Juve, or somehow some dominoes fall and Cavani (if PSG go for Aubamayang or Griezemann) or Benzema (if Madrid go for Aubemayang or Griezemann) fall to us.
I don't think any of those scenarios are happening. And I think Lacazette would be a fine addition, but he most likely won't score 20+. I think Sanchez and Mahrez on the wings with Lacazette upfront and Ozil in behind would be pretty dynamic attack.
I mean, we can have this discussion all day long but if Wenger is managing we aren't doing ****. He'll just go all out attack and leave our midfield thin and our defense hung out to dry. At least since we've lacked dynamic attack the past couple of seasons he's had no choice but to tighten it up a bit.
Arsenal isn't getting a striker, all the options are gone now (Higuain, Vardy, PEA, Icardi). Think Wenger thought Vardy was coming but he backed out. Getting Mahrez will be the attacker signing at RW. Still need a CB as Mertesacker is getting older and Chambers/Gabriel likely aren't ready yet.
