***Official 2016 Transfer Thread***

Rothstein:
UNLV transfer Jordan Cornish told @CBSSports he has cut his list to Butler, Iowa State, Grand Canyon, and Purdue. Will set visits soon.

Cornish is the guard that the staff would like to get for 2018 of EM doesn't make it. Wonder if timing is going to be factor. Would Cornish be willing to wait on NCAA making a decision on EM?

It kind of seems like if Manny doesn't have a decision by the NBA draft then he will be out, which would mean he gone.

Chris just posted in another thread that we aren't going to take Cornish

At this point I am suprised when Matt and St. John's misses on a target. Someone for Prohm to monitor.

@AdamZagoria Sounds like the Anthony Livingston to St. John's dream is over now.r

I don't see us taking another grad transfer. He would be essentially playing the same spot as Holden.

I would have loved Livingston though. He looked like a really good rebounder and had pretty decent scoring numbers too.

Holden however would have played better competition overall in Conference USA.

Still wanna know who cooled on who and why. Any info out there? Maybe almost full on scholarships and Matt A. has his sights on someone else...to be continued.

At this point I would think we take the best sit-one-year transfer we can get. Position doesn't really matter.

I agree take the best sit out, but I think staff needs to push hard for two this a Bigman and SG. And I think that a bigman would be better to lock in now bc great gaurds come along more I transfer season than big men do. But will leave that to the staff.

Translation?

Knowing we are probably looking for a sit out transfer, I thumbed through the transfer list. Here's a few names I pulled out. Sort of randomly selected based off size, position, school.

Trevon Seymore 6-4 JR CG Coppin St
10 pts 5 rebs 4 ast low fg%

Vasa Pusica 6-5 SO G San Diego
8 pts 4 rebs 2.5 ast 38% 3's

Matt Milon 6-4 FR SG Boston College
5.5 pts 1.5 rebs 49% 3

Tre'Shaun Fletcher 6-7 F Colorado
7 pts 2 rebs 35% 3

Wes Clark 6-0 G Missouri

I think Namon Wright could be a very good player if he gets in the right situation. Clark was so bipolar at PG and Mizzou's coach didn't have a normal rotation, so I really think Wright could flourish with a solid role on a better team.
