On to Football Season

I don't see much talent on either side of the ball for Iowa State outside of a few players (Lazard, Warren, and Tucker). Both lines for the Cyclones seem especially porous. A comfortable Iowa win seems likey- somewhere in the neighborhood of 31-17.

Isn't this what Iowa fans say just about every football season?

Am I wrong though? Outside of those three, who on Iowa State will contend for all-conference honors? I suppose Harris and Cotton-Moya are both solid, but outside of that I don't see much. Both lines look pretty bleak.

Who will be all conference for Iowa besides King or maybe Beathard? I would say Lazard, Warren, Tucker and Cotton-Moya will be on an all conference list if healthy

Josey Jewell, George Kittle, Jaleel Johnson, and Sean Welsh all will have a good chance in that order.

Sounds like both teams will be down next year

You are quite the troll. King, Beathard, Johnson, Jewell, and Welsh all have a very good chance of earning 1st team All-B1G next season and all are pretty highly regarded NFL draft prospects. Then you have guys like Kittle and Ben Nieman who have a good chance of earning some type of all-conference honor as well.

Campos lol

Both those guys were Honorable Mention all conference last season, why wouldn't I list them?

Maybe because one of them graduated this year? Also LOL if you think Peavy is better than Mabin. You should stick to basketball recruiting bud, you really don't know much about football.

Ha I did forget about Floyd being gone, so many talented DB's to keep track of. Peavy is better than Mabin though, that's why Peavy was HM all conference

I come here fr critical and unbiased football analysis. Why would we ever pay so much for Kfer, when we could come on here and view this stuff for free?

By September they'll be odds on favorites for a playoff berth. That's the annual progression of hawk fandom.

January to March - focus on all the players lost and think next year will be a struggle. 5-6 wins
April to May - Talk amongst the other hawk fans about how good all those players looked in the spring practice. 6-7 wins
June to August - scouring through rosters and schedule to tell yourselves that the Hawks are better than those teams. 8-9 wins
August - News coming out of fall camp all sounds great. The offense can't be stopped and the defense won't give up a yard. 11 wins and a spot in the conference championship game.
