Does anybody have any info on the juco DT Kamilo Tongamoa? It looks like a lot of our coaches are following him on twitter and is currently committed, but not signed with Colorado State for 2016. I haven't heard this name before but I'm guessing we're trying to get him added the 2016 class?

According to Rivals, he's a '17 prospect, not '16.

He committed to CSU out of high school, but it looks like he didn't make grades so he was at Merced College in California this past year.

He was at the JUCO when he committed to CSU according to the following article.

Looks like I need to work on my reading comprehension...I could've sworn in an earlier article it said he committed to them out of HS, oh well...good find on that article. Either way, he would be a huge get for ISU, and I'm hoping Tuckers accomplishments since arriving in Ames will help bring him in.
After some quick research, he was a 2014 HS grad and went JUCO. He should have signed with CSU in the class of 2016, but it looks like he didn't get his degree on time to make it to campus (I'm guessing).
He was a pretty highly rated JUCO recruit and had some good offers last year from teams like Louisville, Mizzou, and ASU. He'll have 2 to play 2 if he qualifies and makes it to campus anywhere next fall.
EDIT: Actually, now that I filter this through a brain cell, I wonder if he ever signed his LOI with CSU. If that's the case then maybe he's a late qualifier and we could get him on campus this fall? Just spit balling here...

Hmm. Well, in the linked article, he committed to CSU in July 2015. That article states a few of his statistics from the previous season at Merced (fall 2014). And, if he was in the high school class of 2014, his clock is ticking and it looks like he's got 3 to play 2. If he didn't play last fall, he's got 3 to play 3, it looks like.
247 lists him as a class of 2017 guy. Maybe he was hurt last fall? Anyway, this December, it appears he will have been in JUCO 2-1/2 years, maybe he'll be an early signee?
In that same CSU story, iirc, there's another kid mentioned from Merced. Maybe a couple of friends staying together?
