Kentucky pkays at 415.

Iowa state plays at 5.

Kansas plays at approx 645.

Why in the hell is a team who is hosting playing on the same schedule as the site they are hosting. Get ready for prices to drop even more and the arena to be half filled. This is an absolute mess.

I know several people just going to watch and a few of the bought Saturday only (hawk fans who thought they were going there).

Yeah, how dare a company that's paying $8 Billion to televise this tournament not think about the inconvenience it might cause to a single fan base. #outrage

That's not the point. If a school is hosting a site and also in the tournament themselves, that's cool should be playing on opposite days of the site they are hosting. It is not fair to their fans or the city to make them play at the exact same time. I am not saying the network shouldn't do what they need to do all I'm saying is they should be on opposite days and it can't be that hard to administer

So you want them to add another thing to look at when trying to place teams in the tournament?

What is the list up to now?

It's impossible to make everyone happy. I'm sure there are many other considerations that none of us have any clue about.

Guess none of you wanted to go support our local sessions. Because it's impossible to watch ISU and support our local session.

My wife, a week or so ago, overheard a hawk fan saying that isu will probably luck out and end up in Des Moines. She told him that they couldn't because they hosted it. She said he was dumbfounded why they didn't have iowa do it. Thought that it would have been better to have THE university in Iowa host it. She quit after he went on his tirade.

Some people still don't get it. Btw, tavern hawk.

The university FOR Iowa is NOT the University OF Iowa. Should be a t-shirt.

Kentucky, Kansas, UConn, and Indiana are all playing in Des Moines. That's basically a final 4 right there with 4 big time blue bloods. I'm sure there won't be too many empty seats in Wells Fargo with those teams playing.

I mean it's not impossible. Inconvenient, sure, but you can surely do both.

Except that it would lock out ISU from certain sites. I'd prefer to have us in play for more local sites than to avoid being on the same day as the site we're hosting.

But my question is how much work is the ISU AD actually doing to host this? Is there going to be any staff that will miss the ISU game because they have to work at the DM site? Or is WF and the NCAA handling the actual operation of the tourney?

Kansas fans should be able to fill up half the arena by themselves at least. With the schools playing, there should be no reason it shouldn't be sold out.

I believe we have a lot of staff there from our media relations and marketing offices. And they have been doing all the pre-tourney work/liaison activities.

Time to sell those WFC tickets to the trailer people. Nothing funnier than having more UK fans than KU fans.

I'm not going to pretend the NCAA cares about ISU. I'm just surprised you don't put Kentucky/Indiana at 8:00ish

So we go in - watch the first half of UK/IN, go out to the hallway to watch the ISU game, then come back in to see the second half of the KU/Uconn game? Yes, it can be done but that sucks.

This is actually a good point IMO. In the very least, they could attempt to place the host school on opposite days of the site they host. However, this year that probably would of meant we are playing in Brooklyn and Iowa gets sent to Denver, and I would much rather be in Denver than Brooklyn.

I am a broken record on this issue, but the biggest thing the NCAA needs to change is not allowing a host school to play at their host site when its a neutral court.

Or why not have only conferences host sites, not individual schools. There are 30 odd conferences now. Let the little guys earn their a****ids by hosting a site every now and then.

DM could have been handled by the Missouri Valley.

If the tickets are sold already, do they really care about physical attendance a whole lot?

This basically seems like a complaint that says "I'm not getting everything I want." Kind of on the level of Grandpa Simpson shaking his fist at the crowd. Once you choose to buy these tickets, you know that you're either not watching games on TV or not using the tickets. That was part of the deal.
