Curious what others think. I'm going to go with deep tourney run, Sweet 16 or better.

Let me see if I can get a Poll to work.

Edit: screwed up option one. First choice should include bounced in round 1 or first weekend of Dance

Tourney run in March always wins. IIRC two years ago UCONN had a similar record to what ISU will probably have, and they're only remembered for what they did in the end.

ISU's not as capable on defense or consistent enough for that kind of finish, but a Sweet 16 or something would be fun.

The first option mysteriously ends after the Big 12 tourney. I'll take the first option and then add an Elite 8 run.

I think the issue here is you said Elite Eight OR BETTER. I still would've chosen this option had you said "losing in the Elite Eight" but it might not be unanimous.

This reminds me of those NIT Final Four or NCAA tourney first round exit threads. Thank god we haven't been to the NIT in a while.

I think we make Friday of the Big 12 as the 5 or 6 seed, and then Sweet 16 or better as a 5 seed.

As many projected, ISU's shallow bench is wearing on the team as the league schedule progresses. A new coach and losing McKay only exacerbated the issue.

Now, will State survive the first game in KC? I suppose it depends on McKay and who ISU draws.

But any thought of this squad going far in the NCAA's is, well how do I put it politely? Naz was a bigger loss than anyone here would admit or, perhaps, understand at the time.

Bad choices. The first one says nothing about what happens in the NCAA tournament. Thus, I will take the first one and have a great NCAA tournament run. Plus, if we beat KU, then it almost certainly means that they didn't get the conference season championship. Hopefully, our win over them will be what causes it.
