This call vs Niang as so freaking bad I'm so freaking mad right now. Niang was literally running backwards with his arms straight up and they call the foul. It was beyond ridiculous

Yeah. The least fouling team in basketball commits 2.5 times the fouls of an inferior team. Every single time it was a foul.

Yes, Nader's intentional was stupid - but Georges didn't do any favors on the offensive position where Tech was allowed to get that run-out. But, the calls were ridiculously terrible tonight. Nader picked up his 3rd foul on a clean block - if they call that correctly, TT doesn't get 2pts and we have an offensive possession without them having just scored - possible 4-5 point swing. I felt we played well enough to win this (despite some poor possessions to close out regulation). But if the refs weren't so inconsistently whistle-happy, we win by 6+ points.

I really hate how refs will spend 5 minutes deciding to take .4 seconds off the clock with 25 seconds remaining but can't/won't spend 10 seconds to check an obvious missed goal tend. I hate how officials will spend 3 minutes trying to decide whether or not a player's foot was completely behind the three point line for a 1 point difference but can't do the same for a two point goal tend.

Niang gets called for 2 fouls every a game on plays were he is straight up, and moving away from the offensive player trying to avoid contact, basically conceding the shot just. The offensive player jumps into him anyway and gets a foul called. Those are kind boggling terrible calls.

I don't think they are corrupt, just dumb. The lead ref tonight is horrendous. He is always bad. Always calls fouls that aren't there and misses a bunch of easy ones in every game I see him do. He's also too old and slow to keep up with the pace of play which might have something to do with it.

What good will that do? Best case scenario would just be another letter for the apology wall. Officials aren't held accountable.

And by the way, how big was the ref screw up in the first half when Matt fouled and they gave it to Georges instead. Matt even walked to half court to tell them when he saw they signaled 31 instead of 21.

Listening to the post game show, I've heard all the players and announcers and coaches talk after many wins and losses, but Eric, John, Georges, and deonte all sound like someone just walked into their living room and shot their dog and walked out. I've never heard them so angry with a loss... And I think that's good. We've hardly ever played with a fire that says we've hit our breaking point and the next team in our way is going to pay dearly. I want our guys to play like they're literally sick of dealing with games like this and when they get a lead, walk away with it and laugh while doing it.
They always talk the talk after a loss. Nothing has changed. Neither does the losing.
