Bill Self apologizes

I definitely don't like the way Bill Self is allowed to yell, scream, and berate the refs during games to get calls. But I'll give him this, he doesn't take any S*!T from his players bringing any negative attention to the University. I wonder how many times Greene will puke while Self runs him to death.

But still, **** KU.

I honestly love Bill Self. He's a great coach, a great quote, and besides that he coaches Kansas, there isn't much I don't like about him.

It's a little different. TCU asked for it when that little ***** stole the ball when we were just dribbling out the clock. I didn't like it but didn't blame Burton.

I think the difference is everyone in the KU/KSU on both teams was walking off the court. No one was playing it out. If the other team is still playing D or trying to foul or steal, yah, dunk it. Equally uncool is if you are just dribbling it out in the last 5 seconds with a 20 point lead and someone tries to steal the ball. If both teams are still playing then all is fair as far as shooting etc.

The KU guard shouldn't have given the ball up, then this doesn't happen.

An apology is as pointless as the dunk was. Only diff between the Burton dunk and this one is that the game was still being played when Burton dunked (yeah, time remaining was really low)...but the KSU & KU players were literally walking off the court when Green ran behind them & dunked.

Jerk move for a guy who only played about 8 minutes & didn't score much.

Its stupid to apologize. People are so sensitive. If time is on the clock, or the player believes time to be on the clock, then its not a big deal. if you don't like it, play defense.

TCU player just stole the ball from MM, if they want to keep playing, we will keep playing.

I'm with ya...it's easy to be annoyed/frustrated with Kansas as an elite program, their fans, etc, but I love him as a coach and his soundbites.

Was KSU trying to steal the ball? If not there is a pretty fundamental difference.

I'm in the minority. I think Bill Self is an ***. A great coach but an ***.

I think most of his so-called compliments are backhanded insults.

I generally like Self, but this is a bit bizarre. Apologizing is one thing, but on his radio show he said something to the effect of it was the biggest **** move he'd ever seen during a game. I'd say that's a bit over the top. It's obvious he's got it in for Greene and I don't think I'd appreciate him being such a ****** to his player publicly.
