New nicknames for the grandnephews, 885dB and 95dB. Pretty sure I am bleeding from both ears.

Their little foo-foo dog just sleeps through all of this. She is either totally deaf or totes acclimated.

If you and your inner sloth took the dog back to the Boxster domicile that pooch probably wouldn't be able to sleep a wink in all of that wine induced peace and quiet.

One of our sons lived in dorms for 14-15 years (1 year as freshman, 4 as an RA, 2 as a grad assistant HC, 5 or 6 more as an HC). After the first five years it was in an apartment within the different dorms...and three of their four girls were born while they were living in those apartments). Noise levels were off the charts - room doors open, stereos blasting, a veritable cacophony of rock & hip hop.

He comes here in the early summer when we are not yet using the AC, and still have the windows open at night. The surround sound chorus of crickets, cicadas & Katydids kept him awake all night. He can't understand how we can sleep "with all that racket".

That's our lullabye! :)

May your stuffing be tasty, May your turkey be plump,
May your taters and gravy have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious and your pies take the prize,
...And may your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs.

Stolen from a friend. :)

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!

My parents decided not to drive to Omaha because of the weather this morning. I had already told them they should have left last night. Oh well.
