Dear America - Iowa Doesn't Care What You Think

http://www.covers.com/Sports/NCAAF/PowerRankings

Not all the facts bud. Not to mention ISU's computer ratings are built up because the B12 schedule is back loaded so they've been beaten by a slew of now undefeated teams (you're welcome) who will end the season with several losses and aren't actually that good. Oklahoma is probably going to win the B12 and they were beat by a bad Texas team.

New troll found.

Indiana gave up 55 points to Rutgers at home but they aren't bad. Lol

If someone tried to tell me Kansas was better than any team in the Big 10 I would laugh at them, and say, maybe Rutgers but Rutgers beat Kansas by two TD's already this year. Even though they're in that discussion of mediocrity with Kansas, RUTGERS STILL PUT 55 ON INDIANA AT INDIANA. For this reason, anyone that tells me Indiana is a tough out for Iowa this week will get a hearty LOL from me.

So, just checking, is everyone pretty much in agreement that if Indiana is the saving grace for the backend strength of your schedule that your shedule is just god awful?

Cool metric. You should give that W back to Texas since Sagarin says they're better. Texas is horrendous. Indiana has a better offense than ISU, and their defense is just as bad theirs or any B12 team which plays glorified 8 man football.

Considering Jon Miller has been beating the Sagarin ratings drum for several weeks, its only fair to use it to compare Indiana and Iowa State don't you think?

You realize how silly it looks when Iowa fans use Sagarin to promote that their schedule is better than Baylor, Ohio State, etc but then to dismiss it when comparing Iowa State and Indiana, right?

This is the funny part to me. Even just a week ago Iowa fans were saying "Yes, we know the rest of our schedule sucks, but Northwestern! Pitt! Wisconsin!"

Now, with that all in the past and Iowa still the second-worst undefeated P5 team according to the committee, Iowa fans are left trying to argue that the 59th-best Power Five team (out of 65) is tough and would be a middle-of-the-pack Big 12 team.

I wonder what the argument will be when they play the 61st-best Power Five team in a couple of weeks. "Purdue beat Nebraska, who has a lot of talent. Look out!"

I'll take it.

Also you should note Iowa has the 3rd toughest SOS thus far among undefeated teams.

Indiana is really bad

Indiana is better than ISU. Regardless, what does Indiana have to do with anything? Iowa is undefeated and did so by playing the 3rd toughest schedule among the other undefeated's - and that includes beating ISU which hurt our SOS.

ISU would be a 9 pt favorite against Indiana at JTS according to Sagarin

Sagarin has Texas better than ISU, what's your point?

Also, the game is played in Bloomington, what's your point?

ISU would be a 3 pt favorite in Bloomington. Your "Indiana is better than ISU because I said so" argument is weak. ISU is bad and Indiana is worse

Where are you able to track that info down?

Sagarin

To make predictions for upcoming games, simply compare the RATINGS of
the teams in question and allow an ADDITIONAL 3 points for the home
team. Thus, for example, a HOME team with a rating of 92 would be
favored by 5 points over a VISITING team having a rating of 90.
Or a VISITING team with a rating of 89 would be favored by 7 points
over a HOME team having a rating of 79.

61 Iowa State A = 72.26

84 Indiana A = 66.04

What exactly is your point? I'm confused. Are you saying the 65th ranked team (according to your own link) is a good team or bad team? Or will you not decide until Sunday?
