I just got a text from my daughter's school that they have cancelled school tomorrow due to a high amount of absences. The Royals victory parade is going on at noon tomorrow.

:err:

We won the group costume award at the Halloween party Friday night. I should have called in sick today for our victory parade.

I'd ask this question in the football forums but I already know what the response would be from them. Figured I might as well just ask a much more level-headed crowd.

Are you a bad fan if you prefer to watch the game from home over going to the game?

I enjoy going to games but I like watching them from home more because I feel like I can get into the game more and see everything so much clearer with TV.
I'm one of the people Boxster hates because I am a bit of a holier than thou fan, but I would say no. The reason you're staying home doesn't have a lot to do with how the team's doing, but instead you just prefer it. That's just a personal preference choice, so I wouldn't factor that in deciding how much better a fan I am than you

The fact that you didn't go to Wooster's, ISU's and Wisconsin's games means you're not a fan.

Is the city pretty electric right now? It's gotta be a blast being around there today.

It's pretty awesome. Fireworks all over the place after that last pitch last night. Big ones too. It helps having them for sale in Missouri, I guess.

I'm a Twins fan first and always will be, but the Royals have been my second favorite team since I moved here in '96. It's an easy team to like. KC will pretty much just shut down tomorrow.

No you are not. I agree with everything you said above. I enjoy the aspect of seeing a game live but not many of the things that go along with it i.e. traffic, long lines, etc. Plus eating at home during a game is cheaper and when nature calls you can be in and out and back to your chair and not miss any of the game.
