Al Golden Fired

But since they fired him mid-season, Miami is going to looking like a bunch of meany heads.

USC
Maryland
South Carolina
Illinois
North Texas
UCF
Miami

At least 7 jobs open... and probably 6 of those are more attractive for coaches than Iowa State would be. Could be slim pickings this offseason

We better fire CPR if we hope to get out that word that Iowa State is looking for a HC. If we don't, we will be too late by the time CPR is fired and we will end up wth someone like the WR coach from ball state.

I guess the good news is that some of these schools haven't done so well at hiring football coaches recently, so maybe they will take some of the posers out of the running for ISU.

I dunno, I don't think UCF or UNT are more attractive and Illinois is probably a toss-up.

The "U" can suck it.

They did everything short of going full SMU, but somehow those are seen as the good ol days.

Burn that program to the ground

Doesn't matter PR is not not going to to get fired this season. Money will be an issue, I think he will give him one more season and let the record and poor attendance be what gives him the reason to fire him. Right now the fans are still supporting the program unlike when DM got fired.ISU is as a tough job, but they have what it takes facility wise to compete. They need to hire someone that can develop talent (like Iowa) and recruit. I also think the next hire might need to have a gimmick offense, we can't compete playing the same style as the big boys in the conference.

Not sure how Golden lasted as long as he did. Guy was a terrible head coach an didn't even really give them of hope when he started.

Miami is not exactly a dream job. They don't pay great (at $2.2m Golden's salary was 42nd among coaches). And they have highly delusional expectations.
