Xavier Simpson took heed of Goodin's announcement and congratulated him. Goodin responded back with a plea to join him at Xavier, very unlikely... The word on the street is that it is a three team race for Simpson's services with Iowa State, Illinois, and Purdue being those horses. Recent talk was that he "really had a great relationship with the coaching staff" at Iowa State and that they have kept in constant contact. There were also reports that Simpson was "very high" on Illinois. I really like the fact that our visit is first on his docket. I think he may be our first major commitment of the 2016 class.

In all seriousness, this makes sense though. Simpson has said before that he doesn't want to commit to a school where he will have to compete against sophomores or other frosh for playing time at the point.

Yes, it seems ideal. Prohm has a great history with PG's. Come to ISU and his two options are play with and learn from Morris for one year, or get thrown into the fire if Morris leaves.

Cooke and Noskowiak are more combo types and Prohm likes to run a guard heavy rotation anyway.
