Great. Thanks. When I drove by, the color seemed much brighter, almost St. Louis "cardinal" in the sun. It will be a huge difference when you walk into the stadium.

My dad recently moved and found an old flyer from when they originally built or planed to build Jack Trice. The original flyer had the design with a bowled in end-zone. Too bad they didn't stick with it. I will try to find that in the pile of stuff they sent us.
Found it, apparently from the Bulletin Board Volume 22, Number 1
It is dated Fall of 1972 and shows a rendering of the Proposed New ISU Football Stadium. It does have a full lower bowl. Certainly not as good as we have now but it would have been superior for the last 40 years. I will scan it in tomorrow.

Are they going to paint the seats of the rest of the stadium? It's going to look kinda dumb to have shiny new bleachers on one end zone and the rest faded. It would really pop on TV if painted? I'm actually excited for the new ribbon boards...it's going to look awesome. Game day experience..especially at night are going to make our program actually look like a legit program.
The dirty/faded look is mostly coming from the concrete, not the bleachers. Yes, the bleachers are faded, but the dirty concrete is what really makes it look bad.
That being said, the only time people notice is when the stadium is empty and not during a game.
Yep. The only thing that helps is seatbacks covering the concrete. Obviously the new bleachers look very similar to the old ones.
Wow, all those upper deck sections look like there is a significant space in between them.
