Woodbury SUCKS and because of that you can't argue any reasoning with him playing as your rationale. Marble regressed...

Where did I say anything about Woodbury? I said OLESANI split time with him, which is why Gabe's numbers wont pop out at you.

And Devyn regressed? Im sorry, but that is just entirely incorrect. He was a first team Big Ten and got drafted his Sr year. Now you are just making stuff up.

I'll give you White...he's pretty talented. Although if I give you White as being very talented you have to give us Royce White, Niang, Monte Morris, McKay as being Elite...deal?

And the request was for PLAYERS, not player...still waiting....

I laid out the "players" up above. And Elite? Ill give ya White, and Morris has a chance to get there. Elite, to me, is first round of the NBA draft. So thats White, and possibly Morris.

It seeming that anyone who doesnt wear a Clone uniform sucks, and anyone who does where a uniform and can walk and chew gum at the same time, is elite.

Ol' Dev musta been a lottery pick when he came in as a freshman to regress all the way to a 2nd round pick.

Which would make him a pretty damn good recruit. So, there you go as well UofICy - there's a top notch recruit that ISU hasn't gotten.

Niang, Morris, McKay as elite?

Aaron White was top 5 in both points and rebounds in the conference. I didn't see where Niang, Morris, McKay did that. Morris led the league in assists.

Elite? I'd love to hear your definition of elite.

A White was literally THE only option for the hawks...of Course he's going to have a big stats year. Iowa State has MULTIPLE options and spreads the wealth. Furthermore Niang, Morris and McKay garner NATIONAL attention. White is ONLY talked about in the conference.

Lol, sure you want to talk down an AA? There are a lot of people that rack up stats on teams where they have to, but there's a reason ISU players were in the running for national awards and White wasn't.

Hilarious that this thread has now gone on for 20 pages for a kid that has made a verbal commit to a school way too early to get too excited about. He may be a good player in a couple of years, but face it.....if he really is top 25 or whatever....Kentucky, UNC, Kansa, Duke, etc.... will likely come calling. Let's see what happens then.

It's just hilarious that so many hawk fans come over here trying to brag this up, yet they want to talk about ISU as being little brother. Comical.

But, I'm sure Woodbury, Mike G. and company will have no problem beating ISU this year, now that CFH is gone. After all, Fran is every bit the coach Fred is/was and Iowa has really been just as good of a team as ISU the last 5 years or so. Plus, we all know that Iowa's program has gotten just as much national attention in recent years as ISU, right?

Hell, I bet this year, Woodbury might improve so much that he will even have more blocks than Monte.......now that will put ISU in their place!

From getting tons of love his Junior year to last pick in the draft...that's regression at it's finest.

AW was one of the few players on the Hawkeyes who could do anything some nights... not that tough to get stats.

You brought Woodbury up!! Don't justify Olesani's poor numbers by saying he split time with that waste of space. It further proves your coach is a nimrod.

Ok, Ive seen this come up multiple times... Where did you guys get this notion that players dont develop under Fran? Is Woodbury your only example? List of guys who have improved. Some to massive degrees, some just a bit: White, Olesani, Gessell, Marble, Gatens, Uthoff, Basabe (had a step back Sr year, but improved up until then)

Who massively improved? I like how two of the examples are Gessell, regressed in almost every category, and Basabe who you yourself say regressed.

I think this being the examples of development is a pretty good argument for Fran being terrible at it. Even bad coaches can get some improvement out of someone over 4 years.

If he was the only guy who could be relied upon, it's pretty solid then that he had a higher FG% as well. Imagine if he wasn't the only player who could do anything some nights, as you stated.

White, Aaron-IOWA Sr 34 171 328 . 5 2 1

Ejim, Melvin-ISU Sr 34 220 436 . 5 0 5

Kane, DeAndre-ISU Sr 36 208 431 . 4 8 3

Niang, Georges-ISU So 34 222 468 . 4 7 4

So he was the only option, yet was more efficient than anyone for ISU (including someone who's being stated is elite)? Dang, what's a guy gotta do to be considered elite for Iowa?

Woodbury has only really improved at the free throw line, some of his stats are worse.

Marble improved a lot. White was better than anybody would have dreamed right away. Uthoff progressed from his first to second year and we'll see next year. Somebody dig up the old Basabe>Ejim threads, those are great.

You realize you responded to the wrong person, then said that I'm a nimrod.. yes?

Do you need help? Ask one of your brethen for help. Please.

The only one who wasn't an AA is the Iowa player. What do I win? (we're playing which one doesn't belong, right?)

Oh, so you mean he regressed from his junior year to his senior year? Because that's not what you said.

Don't tell me what I said. Did I say he regressed all for years? No. I said list players that actually got better during their time there. I didn't say "list a player who got better, then regressed"...that would be Marble

I have no idea what any of these numbers mean.
