For some reason this got me more excited about the hire

where is he going to go?

Don't be so quick to assume he stays, I actually don't expect him to stay as part of a mutual understanding. Prohm has no desire to have a backup QB that people always want to start if he doesn't have runaway success on day 1. Don't think TJ doesn't take it personally.

@franfraschilla: Already telling @sportsiren, Brent & ESPN crew that Big Mondays in Ames will still be great. @CoachProhm will be terrific there. All class.

Is this an intentional double negative? I see where Prohm is coming from, I wouldn't want a David Blatt/Tyronn Lue situation where people are wondering who is really coaching the team.

Wherever TJ goes or wherever TJ finds a place for him, won't be here.

maybe he will like the new guy. Tj didn't go after Washington guys, I'd hope he'd tell Iowa state guys to give the new guy a chance.

FWIW - I reached out to a lot of the donors and insiders that preferred TJ, Underwood, etc leading up to today and almost all are pleased with the hire and are excited that Prohm is pretty much Fred-lite. Many called it the "safest" bet because it brings in somebody that has recruiting ties, has been a HC, runs the same style as Fred, but doesn't raise any red flags in other areas.

There are some that aren't taking it as well, but they admitted they'll come around.

i meant nick n. Not tj.

I'm so done with this type of stuff. If NN doesn't want to play for Iowa State....best of luck to him. If he doesn't want to learn behind the best point guard in America then go play for a mid-major. Maybe T.J. has every reason to be disgruntled maybe he doesn't, but quite frankly either **** or get off the pot. The last thing we need is having T.J. being bitter over this situation and trying to divide the locker room. This team has major things to accomplish, either get on board or GTFOH.
