Last September I had heart surgery... the same procedures that Fred had but mine were done all at once instead ten years apart.

By December I went on a plane for the first time since I had the surgery and ended up bleeding. Two weeks later, on my return trip I bled even more. Shortly after landing the bleeding stopped... just wondering if anyone else who takes Warfarin has had the same experience. And I'm not talking noise bleeds.

If so, is it a long term problem? I ask because I wonder if this is something that happens often? I know Fred has great doctor's, just wondering for his own health if this is something to be concerned about.

Not saying he should stay and coach ISU (wish I hope he does) - just wondering if a doctor would be against that much air travel?

Here's a little information regarding travel advice while taking Warfarin. I'm guessing it wouldn't be a significant hurdle.

My mom has a pacemaker and is on blood thinners. She flies 6-10 times a year and I haven't ever heard of her having any issues. And some of them have been long international flights.

You do know cabin air pressure in a plane is like at 10k feet. Take amtrak.
