JTS construction webcam?

Is this taken from a drone.. or from a plane flying in and out of the airport? Do people operate the drones that high normally?

Now just turn those intramural fields into some more parking lots, with some pedestrian bridges over Elwood, and you've probably got the best tailgating scene in the entire country.

Not going to happen. That space needs to be grass (or some other permeable surface) for flooding reasons. That's why there are also stormwater detention ponds on the west side of University Blvd in front of Jack Trice as well. This land was originally swampland, so we already testing fate with Mother Nature having the sports venues and huge parking lot in this area. Doing anything more could cause bigger problems.

Could still be grass lots like G7 behind it.

Exactly. They can put Intramural fields anywhere.

That's a whole new discussion. Campus is one big political land-grab amongst departments. Every department is fighting for space, even if they are wide open fields. Departments usually have to trade space or be reimbursed financially amongst each other in order to be compensated. Rec services and athletics have disputed over property in the past.

Within the next couple years the intramural fields will be moving. Isn't in the budget right now for the AD because they're going to have to spend a few million to get suitable fields for Rec Services to use.

Last I knew Rec Services was willing to go onto a smaller footprint so long as the new fields were field turf and lighted.

Until there is demand for another dozen or so luxury suites, I don't think you'll see any sort of expansion there.

...and I would assume suites would be added to the east side before ISU would build a new press box.

Even Washington State has more suites than Iowa State... a school 5 hours from Seattle and 70+ miles from the nearest Target.
