Here is the Iowa Depth Chart. Just wondering what the thoughts were about their prospects.

Now that they have unloaded that scrub Ruddock on Michigan and have JC (which I assume stands for Jesus ******) at the helm they are assured 10 wins.

That is about the worst O-Line I have ever seen Iowa put up in a long time. The WR's other than Tevaun Smith do not look good. IMO, Canzeri and Daniels better stay healthy as well. And if CJ scrambles and gets hurt, what then?

On the Defensive line, the DT's do not look good. DE's are mediocre. LB is a real problem. Secondary should be okay with King as the anchor.

Not sure if even the easy schedule is going to help them.

Think positive!

I don't watch a ton of Iowa football, but here's my totally unqualified opinion:

It looks like a relatively inexperienced group, and the perception is that Ferentz's best teams have been senior laden. But given the performance of the team the last couple years, maybe a little influx of youth isn't the worst thing.

If I was a Hok fan, I'd be more nervous about the Greg Davis/Brian Ferentz dynamic and the possibility of that becoming a too many cooks in the kitchen deal. I know Captain Kirk has said that Greg Davis will have play calling responsibilities, but it seems like the two guys in charge of the offense have opposing philosophies, and one of those guys has the head coach's last name. Maybe it works, but there's also potential there for a real train wreck.

I think their D-Line will be sound just from being all upperclassmen. Ott will be a force to deal with. I'm hoping we can handle their WRs with a lot of 1 on 1 coverage to really give us some extra bodies to stop the run.

collectively this could be the least talent on the field for Cy Hawk game in recent memory. Easily the worst 2 offenses in some time.

Their Sophomore and Junior DT's that are projected to start had 1 assisted tackle between them last year, according to what I have read. Not sure where you are getting this "all upperclassmen" stuff. They will not have big Carl Davis or Louis Trinca-Passat plugging the middle. Not sure how great Ott and Meier will be without those two big DT's.

Their WR's do not look very good at all, other than Tevaun Smith. They will really miss Martin-Manley at WR. They have lost a lot on Offense. Including their 1st round O-Lineman.

Iowa will bowl and Iowa will have 7 wins.

Agreed. This is about what I'm expecting. Which, for the record, I consider to be quite a disappointing season considering the simplicity of their schedule. Ferentz really had a golden opportunity between last season and this season in terms of the schedule. Clearly they failed to take advantage of it last year and I'm not real enthusiastic about their chances this year. That's why I'm ready for a change. These seasons had 9 or 10 win opportunities written all over them and it doesn't look like he has them in a position to capitalize.

Have them getting beat by Iowa State at JTS. IMO, they get 4-6 wins even with the easy schedule. 7 wins?? Who do you have them beating?

Every single game on their schedule is winnable including Nebraska and Wisconsin. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see them beat Wisconsin and lose to Illinois State. That's what the Hawks tend to do. I'd have better luck trying to hit a mosquito with a dart than I would accurately predicting what the hell the Hawks are gonna do.

Sounds like you are a candidate for the Kool-Aid Gulp that has Iowa as an outside shot at the NC. LOL.

Every single game on their schedule is winnable??? LOL. Classic. In what world?
