I watched the whole first half.

At halftime, down 11, I went outside to play with my daughter. Came back in and we had cut it to 6. We immediately fell back down 11 when I started watching.

Down 10 with 4 minutes left, I stopped watching to give her a bath. Didn't see the end. Got a flurry of texts from my best friend while my hands were covered in soapy water. Heard my wife laughing nervously out in the living room. So I knew something happened, but I never broke.

I think the results speak for themselves.

Hilarious. I employed a similar tactic involving cleaning out the dishwasher (hogue and monte nail 3's) and taking the trash out (monte game winner). I also wasn't able to watch the Oklahoma or TCU game live...

I had faith this time...I told my buddy, 'We were gonna win this one!' I held strong even late when we could not cut it down less than 8.

I had thought to text him I was going to change my mind, but I didn't!

I didn't go to bk like i did in the ou game. Thanks for stepping up for me. My lack of jinx in could have cost us. Apologies

Love it, and appreciate your sacrifice. I too, have stopped watching (or listening) quite a number of times during games this season...ALMOST torture to keep subjecting yourself to it, huh? WELL - the Cyclones LOST every game that it bailed out from, BUT started WINNING whenever significantly behind IF I started posting "my mind" on Cyclone Fanatic. Now I know what I must do if the team digs themselves into terrible holes AGAIN...SO (everyone)...don't take my emotional rants too seriously - should it occur - during ANY future games...it'll just be me doing MY part!

You know what this means right?

You are banished (for the good of Cyclone Nation) from watching any more ISU basketball games the rest of the year!
:jimlad: ....sorta

South Carolina - missed most of the game
@Baylor - missed the first half
@Tech - missed most of the game
Texas - turned the game off when we were up 20, turned the game back on when up 5
@KState - missed the entire game
Texas (B12) - missed entire first half

I've watched damn near every second of the rest of the games. Aside from about 5 minutes vs. Baylor, I think i'm doing something right on my sofa, although I was at my parents house for the Baylor home game...

You didn't go to BK? You could have enjoyed a Spicy Crispy Chicken Jr with fries and a drink as well as the win? Get your head straight, the NCAAs are coming.

Wife asked how I could sit there watching the game so calmly, I told her "I have faith in Fred".

The first half was all my fault though, I was late getting home and was watching on DVR until about 2:00 left in the first half. Coincidence? I think not.

Didn't turn on the television on time; it was 8-8 when we finally did. Sat and ate dinner at that time so I took my hat off. I didn't even think about it being off until there was only three minutes left in the game. Thank goodness I put it back on when I did!
