Look who tops the list of wins against AP Top-25 in the last two seasons!

This is a super impressive stat and goes to show that what Hoiberg is accomplishing really, really impressive.

He's not taking us to 3 (hopefully 4) straight NCAA tournaments with a Big 10 schedule. He's taking us to them with a tough Big 12 schedule.

Remember when these wins were so incredibly hard to come by? I love the state of the program now, best it ever has been as a whole in my opinion. When was the last time we were ranked consistently this long? When was the last time we went to 4 straight NCAA tourneys? When was the last time we had 3 wins over ranked opponents on the road over two seasons? Just relish every moment of this everyone.

Now.

Ya it's a luxury to be in a position as a program to have meltdowns after losing to top 15 teams on the road.

Tops in the country, with a big time stat in a major sport. Not bad Fred.

Here's the list, I believe:

None of that has ever happened before.

I'd be curious where we are in terms of road wins against ranked teams the last 2 years. We have to be close to the top there, too.

half the teams on that list consist of half of the big 12. ISU is impressive, as is the big 12! Of course it helps when most of our conference schedule is against ranked competition.

Well... there is a reason the Big XII has widely been considered the best conference in college basketball for a 2 year stretch. They dominate outside their non-con schedules and then you have 7 or 8 teams that beat the crap out of each other during the conference schedule. It also helps that the Big XII has a true round robin schedule where as most other conferences you can get away with "avoiding" playing ranked teams due to divisional scheduling.

Maybe this year will be the year that the Big XII dominates in the NCAA Tournament finally...

Five Big 12 teams on the list, and Wisconsin squeaks in at the bottom? All kidding aside, I think Wisconsin should get major props for even making this list at all. It's not like they get as many chances as Big 12 teams get to even be in a game against a Top 25 team. Not their fault that they play in the B1G.

I remember a time not long ago when 2 or 3 of these wins per year was the norm. Even in the Orr era, we would only get these wins at Hilton. Amazing stat. Speaks to the strength of the Big 12 these last two years. Have we had a single week go by in the conference schedule where we haven't played a ranked team?
