Iowa v Tenn

Where is the Hawkeye section in the stadium? Have only seen scattered Hawkeye fans on TV.

Iowa didn't even sell half of their ticket allotment if I recall correctly. It's like Tulsa vs ISU Liberty Bowl, only this time the team with more fans is treated to a good performance.

Hok fans are like...

I am absolutely OK with Hawk fans not traveling to this game. Loss of fan support is the only thing that will get them to make a change.

This is a good point, and it's also where ISU is at right now. If you want change, don't go to the games and don't buy tickets.

Isn't Iowa's home schedule next year really bad? I think Minnesota is the only team that comes to IC that most would care to watch? No Nebraska, no Iowa State, no Michigan, no Michigan State, no Wisconsin, no Ohio State on the home slate.

Directional Michigan will roll into town

And beat them

...just said something like 23 freshman have played for TN this year.

Apparently, this is what it can look like when those freshman are coached and developed throughout a year. Not saying ISU has this kind of natural talent available, but it IS possible for a young team to look like D1 football players in a few months.

Still, though, where is their section? There are a few thousand who bought tickets from the bowl allotment. Maybe half way up behind the Tennessee bench? Not seeing much of anything on the Iowa sideline.

Just. Stop.

It does help when a lot of those young players were one of the best at their respective position coming out of HS.

They are trying to beat their Orange Bowl standard by leaving at the end of the 1st quarter instead of the middle of the 3rd.

I thought I heard them say that Tennessee had the 6th best recruiting class last year. That may be a factor!

Will HN just leave up the Wrestling post on the front page for the next few weeks?

haha - I laughed out loud when KGAN Cedar Rapids CBS made an Iowa wrestler getting a national championship their "sports story of the year 2014" when they did a countdown earlier this week

23 freshmen in a top 10 recruiting class. Big difference. Coaching up a 2 and 3 stars takes several years.

That sounds right. I wish I knew what the season ticket numbers looked like for next year. I fear Hawk fans will say 'hell no we aren't renewing' and then when they realize its August 1st, their will be a rush of renewals. We need to get the heart beat of the fan base. Do any Iowa boosters post here?
