Derrick Willies leaving Iowa

Interesting Jon D Miller was saying on Ken Miller Show that he should be targeted 8 to 10 times a game for the rest of the season.

Fraentiz is done. Both Barta and Fuhrehntz need to be fired to turn that program around. But they're too stupid to realize it.

If those high school measurable are anywhere close to accurate, I'd take him, and it should serve as a huge indictment of the coaching staff over there.

I'm wagering it's the head man and not this young man which keeps him off the field. But I like to blame KF for everything so ya.

So you think Kirk plays less talented players in hopes to lose? I think Hawk fans severely overestimate some of their players abilities

If I was Rhoads, Id take a flier on him. Sit out a year, two years to play. Further solidifying a decent receiver corp.

I say we take him, make him a decent player, and throw to him 15+ times in the Cy-Hawk game. Could you imagine the butthurt of Hok fans if this guy played against them and had 100+ yards rec and a couple of TDs? They would lose their ******* minds! We should just do it for the potential of that happening.

I don't that that is what the poster was saying, exactly. The kid has the measurables of a WR who can stretch the field. Ferentz and Davis just don't throw it downfield, especially with Rudock, who that staff apparently plans on starting as long as he's there.

Is this one of the guys they all were saying was a stud but wasn't getting allowed by the staff to get off the sideline?

Yes, it is. As I've stated above, he looks the part. I've been told he had a big drop, and then ran a bad route that almost led to an INT on the very next play against Indiana. I don't know though. Didn't watch.

Not just measurables. He had a huge spring game and was averaging 20 YPC in limited time this year. All while Iowa has the slowest receivers ever.

Well Iowa's back 7 is terrible and he had 4 catches for 71 yards this season. So yea I'd go with just measurables

Heard from a pretty good source he is planning to transfer to UCLA.

That'd be a good landing spot, the kid obviously has potential with his size and speed but I'm guessing his route running and/or blocking kept him off the field for the most part.
